Description
This is an idea I had once, flipping thru a book on african art... imagine all this totems, or scarecrows, left in the jungle (as the ones in Planet of the Apes)... imagine that in some season, the plants grow and use the totem as a skeleton... the vines function as tendons and muscles, the giant leaves provide energy... the thing walks. All of them do... there's an army of plant-powered wooden skeletons...So I need some sleep...

Amazing design! A robot that is actually moved by the plants surrounding it sounds really outlandishly cool.

Really like this. Are you ok with me using this plant robot concept in a story? I can send you a note with the story if you want to see it.

that's a really really good concept that is, i've never seen (or considered) robots in a natural setting, and i think the idea of those totems is unbelieveably creative, and the way you've brought it to life as well, oh it's all genius

brilliant idea.
but for this to work don't the plants need like brains or something to control the limbs?
because a brain is often crucial when your gonna move...
unless the plants aren't plants, but green plantlike jellyfishes. yeaaaah right that may actually work...maby... just maby.
well goodnight

Its very futuristic but at the same time very archaic. You look into the robot's face and see intellegence. Love it.

When I first saw this I thought "Ent!" but on closer inspection it really does have a very African feel.
I love the fact you can see the fingerjoints and ribs.
