Description
"Once we were many, now we are few. Hunters, killers of the world’s filth. Witchers. The ultimate killing machines. Among us, a legend. The one they call Geralt of Rivia. The White Wolf." (19/06/2014)(Please zoom in for greater details!)
You may know that I’m a huge fan of the Witcher franchise, particularly the fantastic videogames by CD Projekt Red, so after E3 2014 I decided to create some new fan art. I wasn’t as happy with my last attempt, so I decided to use all of my skills and resources to maximum effectiveness this time around! Here’s the result of my most recent design project! I give to you, the Witcher!
Details, Thanks and Acknowledgments:
Based on several screenshots taken from recent Witcher 3 game play trailers, and inspired heavily by numerous soundtrack pieces from the third game, and each trailer released to promote the game. This is my drawing of Geralt of Rivia as he appears in the Witcher 3, using my new-found graphical art style, this piece was drawn across several days, and took over 40+ hours to complete.
The main game trailers that inspired me to draw this art piece are, ‘Killing Monsters’ and the recently released ‘Sword of Destiny’ trailer. Check them out over on Youtube if you’ve yet to do so!
Killing Monsters and Sword of Destiny Links:

I was also heavily inspired by the soundtrack of the game that has been revealed thus far, and I went back to listen to my CD of the Witcher 2 soundtrack for a couple of hour during the drawing process! I’d like to thank CD Projekt Red/The Witcher official account over on Twitter too, who’s reply to my comment on a photo of their own concept artwork was the driving force behind completing this piece!
I thoroughly enjoyed drawing this piece, and hope to do some more Witcher 3 drawings within the near future! Hopefully I’ve done the game justice, and have provided a quality piece of artwork for all my fellow Witcher fans out there! Feel free to leave a comment!
I can’t wait to get my hands on the game come February 2015!

Thank you! I'm really glad you like it! I sure did yeah! The 2010 version that is, I'm too poor to upgrade! Ha-ha.
To be honest I'm too daft to use any custom brushes or anything, I don't even know if the old Sketchbook that I use supports it, so to draw this I just used the standard tools that were on offer! Nothing fancy, just the default equipment at alternating sizes!

I'm totally fangirling over all Witcher series, and Sapkowsky most. I have all of eight books and both games in deluxe edition. It's addiction, I think ._.

Wow! You sound just like me! Though I haven't read through the books since just before I played Assassins of Kings earlier this year! They are awesome aren't they, the whole Witcher franchise is! I need to re-read them before the Witcher 3 to jog my memory a little better! The wait for that game is killing me! Ha-ha!

I have that power, that I'm native polish and I'm reading original books. And I'm completely in love with this universe. I learnt how to write on it xDD
I really want to get Sapkowsky's autograph one time *^*
But games are cool, too. One better from another. I really liked Witcher, Witcher 2 was just addict, and with Witcher 3 having world open like Skyrim, but bigger... Man, I spent HOURS on both games (Witcher and Skyrim) and with that I don't even wan't to think how much time I will spent with Witcher 3. Now all I need is better computer ._.

Ha! That is fantastic! I've always loved Poland as a country! Many of my favourite places are of European descent, particularly cold snowy areas or places where national culture is steeped in ancient myths and legends. Really gives a distinct level of character to a place! Must be why I love the Witcher franchise so much!
Oh me too, I couldn't agree more with those opinions! I too spent an age playing Skyrim, in fact I drew my very own dragonborn hero before I drew this Geralt artwork, I played endless hours of that game most of all, probably the longest I've ever spent playing any one videogame! I played the Witcher 2 every way possible too from start to finish, It was just awesome! The story, the characters, the setting, all magnificent! To think that'll be in the next game with an open world is mind blowing!
I'm all prepared for it's release fortunately, just the long and painful wait until February to deal with now! Ha-ha!

That's why I can't enjoy LotR as much as I enjoy Witcher. Because Witcher is simply realistic, even with all of those monsters and magic, it's so close to ours, shares so huge resemblance to world we live in now. LotR, on the other hand, is all about heroic doings, of how small can do big, and I appreciate that, but it lacks with this realism of Witcher. It's hard for me to place myself in LotR universe, because it shows everything as either good or bad, never shades of gray. In Witcher it's different, nothing is entirely black of white and this I appreciate much.
Also, I'm glad you like my country
Skyrim, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Witcher - pearls among RPG deserving to be cherished. Though, I haven't finished ME yet, and I haven't even killed Alduin, dwelled in side quests in Skyrim ._. (I'm often draging around Serana and Cicero, rarely J'zargo, Aela and one of were-twins, but they're badass, too. Farkie is my waifu~)
Gosh. I need a better computer. My old man s already 6 years old ._.

I couldn't agree more!
As much as I love the Lotr (I am a massive fan of the franchise) it's more of a high fantasy setting, a typical good versus evil story full of characters that fight for one side or the other. With the Witcher, as I've discovered is that many characters have ulterior motives, you can never be sure as to their true intentions, and it makes for some great storytelling! It's a bit similar to the Game of Thrones/Song of Ice and Fire in that sense I guess!
Ha! They sure are! I've completed Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 many times over, as well as Dragon Age Origins many times (skipped 2 because I heard it wasn't as good), completed Witcher 1 and 2 several times each, and have played hours beyond counting of Skyrim, and both Oblivion and Morrowind that came before it! It's so easy to immerse yourself in a game world when the world itself and the characters are so well crafted! And I know what you mean, I've killed Alduin, but haven't liberated Skyrim of it's civil war yet, some 50 character profiles since release! Ha-ha! I've had all of them as a follower before too, I currently take around Bran the husky war dog, and either Gregor (my house carl) or Mjoll from Riften!
Six years? Blimey! I can't afford to run a gaming rig sadly, so I'm still a console peasant at the moment! Ha-ha. Hoping to get a PS4 in time for the Witcher 3's release though! Gaming pc's are quite expensive to maintain nowadays aren't they!

I can't read it freely, because I'm not into this whole black-n-white-only thingy. I know everything has second side, second bottom, hidden or unclear motives. Being strictly good or strictly bad is just so much surreal for me, that I can't stand it. Monsters are to kill heroes, heroes are to kill monsters. No. Monsters kill heroes because they must eat protect themselves and heroes kill monsters to accomplish something, not always good. I like Witcher and GoT because in there there's no black or white, there are only shades of gray. Like Little Evil, Evil and Greater Evil.
I just started playing ME1, and I love it, even if I'm already lost (I have English version despite me being Polish), DA I played about four times, over and over again with THE VERY SAME CHARACTER, choosing THE VERY SAME path. I dunno how I'm not bored, but I'm not. Maybe mine Solona is just badass? I also played DAII - it's not as good as DA;O, but it's not so bad, either. I've played Witcher 1 and only started Witcher 2, because my computer don't want me to install it on, and on my mom's laptop it's not the best play ever. I've played only Skyrim, but I'm in love in it (I don't have Dragonborn DLC, though) and it amazes me. The scenery... (yes, I downloaded mods fixing character appearance) and everything else. The storyline, the open world, the characters - so many, and yet all of them has story, has life. And HOURS spent on doing everything but the main questline. Skyrim allows you to do EVERYTHING. My favorite followers are Serana and Cicero (to be honest, I downloaded Multiple Followers mod to drag them both with me at the same time) and secondary are J'zargo, Aela and Were-Twins. I'm one of few who likes cicero talking, I guess xDD And Serana always has something to say, too. I'm playing a Nord Female called Javelin (don't laugh) and she's a werewolf, and I mastered her in most of melee thingies (sneaking with two-handed sword, like a boss). As for characters I like, I like Paarthurnax, Durnevir and Sanguine (cool Daedra), and I'd liked Ulfric if he wasn't a fucking racist (I'm elf-lover myself) and I hate Imperial Thalmor Asslickers (ITA in short) and Thalmor itself (only exception of my Love-All-Elver rule). I also like Were-Twins, and Farkas is my waifu <3
Yes, they are. Every game needs better computer and very few can afford to change theirs every half of a year. I doubt I have chances for any of PS in near future. My mom is low on cash because we're moving and we're buying all of furniture right now, and I'm starting HighSchool after Vacation, so I won't have time to play ;A;
But I'll still have tie to read >D
