This is NOT the donation drive or anything, but I ask you to read this description because of Sketch and Doodle, who probably look a bit different than you're used to. The two you see here are the future canon Sketch and Doodle, and I'll be explaining a bit about them below along with the other girls pictured here~ The Sketch and Doodle you're used to are still around! They're the past/present canon versions of the characters and they aren't going anywhere. Treat the pair you see above like future canon Jake and April if that helps.

With that out of the way, here's the rundown on everything else:

This is a collection of reference images I've doodled up over the course of about a month. I didn't intend for them all to be cat themed but it kinda just worked out that way~ These are characters who either are new or were in need of an updated design. I've drifted away from my old style of doing character refs (always felt awkward to me) so I wasn't sure what to do with these. Hopefully grouping them all together here is at least interesting, if not fun for you folks! If you liked the old style of references, feel free to let me know.

Abby
- Not much to say here. She's the same as she's ever been, if not a bit thiccer. I really do like the last reference I did of her, but I thought I'd try my hand at a new one anyway, and I'm very happy with how it turned out!

Sketch and Doodle future canon
- How to explain this...
- I'm hoping to do some work on their backstory soon. It'll probably be some combination of artwork and writing, and it'll cover what happens to the pair in the gap between the past/present canon and the future canon you see here. Can't make any promises on when that'll happen since it's a long story and I'm not sure how to handle it yet, but now you know!
- Future Sketch is the conductor of a train that works to shelter former and potential slaves on the Outer Rim planet of Keth. How she got there is a mystery, but it's likely that her previous encounters with X-Crew member Lali on Earth led to unforeseen circumstances. Whatever the case, Sketch is at home in this wilder life, having spent much of her youth living in the American wilderness. She has a few more scars and trinkets to show for her life's work, but she's still the same old Sketch on the inside~
- Future Doodle is a renowned chef and baker, as well as a single mom. Her road has been just as rocky. After losing her sister to the depths of space, and later her husband to personal tragedy, she's bounced back and found happiness working with an art form that rewards her expertise. The 'slight' gain she's experienced could be attributed to grief, stress, laxity, or occupational hazard, but regardless, she seems to have come to terms with it, and is overall in a much more emotionally stable place than ever before.

Almeda
- A Gato senator who lives in the fortress city of Legato on Imperium's Eastern continent. Her full name is Almeda Trevelyn.
- Her family has a sizeable pedigree, having descended from Gato nobility, and Almeda herself is well-liked and respected, if not somewhat criticized for her progressive views on Gato race relations.
- While many Gato are borderline supremacists when it comes to other races, Almeda uses her platform to lobby for reform of Gato foreign policy. Her most contentious idea is a public apology to the neko race for evils committed against them in the past. This idea has caused some unrest in Gato society and, some might say, has even put a target on Almeda's head.

Anya
- Anya's always been a tricky character to draw, but I wanted to give her my best here and show off her taste in fashion. As a model, she knows her way around the newest and trendiest outfits, both in neko culture and across Imperium. Though photography doesn't exist on Imperium, I figure she's good enough at those sorts of poses, given that she has experience with live modeling.

Mallory
- Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
- Mallory is a tv show host turned bounty hunter. More on her soon, hopefully!
- I swear I didn't screw up her proportions. Her waist really is that gigantic. Kind of like Lani on steroids. Please don't tell Lani I said that.

Natasha
- Again, not a ton to say here, but I wanted to give her a bit more of a celebrity vibe since she is a renowned stonebird racer, even if she's a little shy about it.
