You mentioned in one image that as Tethians get older they gain more markings- do they also go bald to allow for them? He has those markings on his head and I wonder if he shaved for them of he naturally went bald.

I'm actually not sure about this particular character anymore. Originally, he was Ruga's grandfather. He's a work in progress, but I would say that usually markings are somewhat unique to the individual, but follow a basic direction from their family genetics .

Okay, Thank you. Also- you've mentioned that Tethicans have those solar panel things on their forehead- why is that if they're mammalian? Just an extra way of getting energy?

The solar panels aid in extra-sensory perception. It's kind of a complicated phenomenon. They actually have a symbiotic relationship with the chlorophyll in their body, which enables them to be more perceptionary to emotional chemicals of other beings. The markings are more prominent in the males for this reason. The deposits also help with extra reserves of energy. It can be kind dogmatic however and cause insomnia if not properly balanced.

Are there any other quirks that Tethicans have that I wouldn't have picked up from looking at your art that you're willing to share? They're fascinating and I'd love to know more about them.

They can mimic voices (think Ventriloquism) which is a habit they all can do. Ruga likes to abuse this. They also have some limited abilities with Psionics, which is a defense and takes skill and training to know how to use, otherwise it doesn't work very well. With Ruga for example, he received training from Loki, otherwise he would never have learned. It seems to be rather effective on humans, though it can't be used long term. Tethican saliva contains levels of N-acetylmuramide glycanhydrolase, Hydrogen peroxide, vitamin C, chlorophyll sterols and anti-inflammatory enzymes. In a nutshell, a natural healing remedy for whenever needed for open wounds, especially open wounds. Feel free to ask anything!

Wow, Tethicans are cool. You've really thought about them. Will you ever do a species sheet about them? Also, if its ok- how do the Psionics work? What exactly do they do?

Yes I will have a species sheet, it's a work in progress now actually, but I won't have time to post it just yet as I'll be going to Thailand from the states for one month. I'm so pleased to know you're this interested . Psionics, in a nutshell basically involves a male or female Tethican toying with the 72 Hz frequency that a human brain runs on, turning the frequency against its self, connecting through it through their own brain frequencies. It's a complicated phenomenon with Tethicans, but they’re able to do it, and humans have little understanding of it because the human brain is mysterious as it is in itself. We're able to use about 10% of our brains. Tethicans have yet to reveal all of their secrets to humans, and because they're protected under the Tethican Vertrag, it makes it virtually impossible to study them and they are almost always unwilling to be volunteer test subjects. I'm trying to make them mysterious without overstepping or making it seem like they're super powerful, because they're not. It’s really just a defense but can cause some blood vessel breakage in the nose –yet to be understood fully, long term exposure is undocumented. Psionics like I mentioned must be taught, it can't simply be learned and it takes a great deal of mental focus and energy to do it. Psionics are also still a work in progress.

Wow, that's neat. I love how you make each skill of a Tethican completely plausible.
