Description Fran's an awesome character. I don't know who's my favourite in FF12: Ashe or Fran. I was practicing more with posing when I did this & also with a different kind of shading and lighting. Usually I do the kind of lighting where it hits a character right in this face, but in this painting I wanted the lighting to be behind the character. (I.e. the setting sun). Ja, a real sunset background for once! Water is hard to paint.

Drawn with coloured India Inks & then coloured in with watercolours.

Oh yes, by the way, there is somebody currently harrassing me. It's this really pathetic child that left a bunch of nasty comments on my artwork. So if you see that, please report to DA. I've already done that so hopefully this annoyance of a person will be banned.

Thank you so much for the on this (and also on the Portrait of a Viera one). I'm glad you like them. Yeah, she's a really awesome character & was a lot of fun for me to draw. (I always find detailed character designs fun to draw, because it's actually good practice for me.)

Thank you so much for the comment, especially on the shading. Yeah, I tried to do something different than what I normally do. I always do the lighting from the front, but since Fran is facing away from the sun, it gave me something different to work with.

Thank you so much! Your comment & mean a lot to me! I've got another Fran artwork coming up next week & it's a very lovely version as well. But after I post that particular Fran arwtork, I do believe that's it for fan artwork for me (unless I find another game series I like a lot). It's original work from here on out.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like the bright colours. I try to get away from making all my artwork bright but no matter what I do, I eventually make it really colourful in the end. I think the only dark artwork I have is my Resident Evil one.

Thanks for commenting on this! Yeah, I was practicing with poses & she's usually standing so tall and straight, I decided to give her a more relaxed pose. I based the background from the Balfonheim (sp?) port, except I decided to make the sky during the evening. Oh yeah, her outfit is crazy-detailed. It took a bit of sketching before I could become familiar with the design.
