Description
This is my own made suit of armor, inspired by the Ebony cuirras from oblivion and a bit by WoW. First I drew the design, then measured and drawed the patterns, cutted the plate's, and bended/hammered them in the right shapes. The plate's are ofcourse attached to each other with leather straps. The whole plate armor is made of 2 mm alluminium and it took me about half a year to make it (that's not 24-7 ofcourseAnd to prevent misunderstandings, I do not do LARP, the sword is real.
The picture was made by Nemesis, which you can find here; www.nemesisphotography.com

Missing the helmet. Can't go to battle without a helmet(obiously you can, but it's a very bad idea).

I'm blown away; this is absolutely outstanding! Let me know if you'd ever like to trade armor-making for sewing work ^_^

Thank you for your kind comments and faves! I see you're quite talented as well! Unfortunately I barely have any spare time due to university right now, so I kind of quit making these things.., But thanks for the offer, haha

thanks a lot , I really appreciate it! haha I have to admit the haircut was only done for this, I had to wait like a year before it was this long, and I was very glad I got rid of it afterwards, it's so much work to do your hair everyday when you have that much!
hmm I've never thought about the total costs really, but I got the alluminium for free from my uncle-who really liked I was doing it-, and some less visible parts were pretty expensive, like all the leather I used for the straps and the sword sheat for example. also the cloth wasn't very cheap either well and then there's the stuff I didn't actually make myself, like the sword that was 275 euro, and the mail cuirras (which I'm not wearing on this picture) that was a 150 euro

That's a hellova lot of work there! Unlike the WoW inspiration though, the armour is actually functional and you can move. I have a giggle at some of the WoW armor, especially the shoulders saying "How can you possibly wear that??? Unless you like breaking your shoulders for amusement...."
Their 2-handed swords are also another story.
Very impressive suit though. I would love to do something like that one day.
