Drawn last year. I was quite sad, and really torn apart inside. So, I drew Amanda to somewhat reflect my emotions...Since she, too, has gone through some decidedly tough times.. I thought it'd fit.
However, I lack that sadness and pain altogether these days, so now this is nothing but a picture of her having trouble keeping her weariness and hurt secret, since it's not necessarily going away for her. Tried for that plaintive look.

The fact that this is truly sorrowful, rather than emo, is a definite plus - not to mention the fact that the pic is truly beautiful, very atmospheric, and the character herself is lovely. I've gone through quite a bit of your gallery, sadly without commenting (bad Fontenar! Bad!) and have found Amanda both intriguing and dead sexy! The way she handles her pain also appeals to me. It is proof that strong women can still grieve.

In a way, she seems to be looking both sad and yet hopeful in the same line, but that is most likely a misinterpretation, I think. The hues in this picture are to die for.

I like the way you've CGed the hair. Just the dreamy effect of her face and hair looks excellent. I like the background a lot, too. The texture of it is pretty nicely done.

Maybe your earlier suffering was a way for you to enjoy even more the happiness you now have finally obtained..... Perhaps she will as well someday know true happiness?

I always did like this one, it shows very strong and very powerful emotion. Even when things are this bad you still have to keep your head up and try your best to get through it, it seems to say

As a piece of art i really like this, my only complaint is in the graphics...the tear especially just looks strange and fuzzy. i really like the background. the coloring on the skin is very good

i remember seeing this on your website, and it was very compelling to me. the emotion on her face is so well executed, and the choice of washed out colors really brings out a melancholy mood.
