Description When the Terror of Epistello fell to the dragon hunter Mortareus Venix, the dragon sprung a cunning trap to ensure the lineage of its kind would not end. Venix was stripped of his powers, and his progeny would forever be infused with the blood of the Terror. His children and his children's children would be seen as freaks, all because of his greed and brutality. Ironic, some thought, that his bloodline was suffering a curse as punishment for sins long associated with dragons themselves.

But the "freakish" appearance of the children of the Venix bloodline was just the beginning. In truth, the Terror was planting a proverbial seed, in hopes of "growing" a suitable body in which it could reincarnate. Rowena and Mikaela Husher possess a unique quality within the Venix bloodline: Their minds are so tightly linked that they perceive themselves to be a single person. Could the spark of rage inside RoMi be the spirit of the Terror? Will she keep that rage bottled inside, or could she, perhaps, learn to control it?

One thing's for sure: Generally speaking, making RoMi mad is NOT a good idea.

RoMi is (C)

EDIT (5/6/2014): Fixed a coloring derp on Ro's neck.

the story of the Cursed Dragon, RoMi - as told by Johnny Powell from "the Darkness"...

ok, this is gonna get a bit complicated, but let me try to make this all simple for you;

back four-hundered years ago, there was this Dragon- huge, fuck-off, two-headed golden Dragon. it set up shop in a little town called Epistello, generally fucking that place up on a regular bases! the monster had made quite the killing from all it's pillaging, and, in a classic Treasure-guarding Dragon move, stashed it all away in a cave south from the city. far away from human society, with a huge, fucking hoarde of Gold and shit.Β you know, just how any self-respecting Dragon would like it.

it wasn't until this Wizard kicked down it's door and said, "hey, Zak and Wheesie! give me your shit!" that things got nasty...

you see, this Wizard was a real sick fuck of a creepy bastard! he didn't want the Dragon's gold; he wanted to become the strongest Wizard in the world, so he started drinking Dragon Blood to juice himself up. he only took the extermination job to get himself a... well, refill.

so the murderous bastard kicked the rampaging monster's ass, got his fame and some more Dragon Blood to drink. BUT! that wasn't the end of it...

you see, the Dragon's spirit still lingered in the blood he just drank- i dunno HOW, just roll with it. point is, killing that dragon and drinking it's blood was about the DUMBEST thing the wizard has ever done. from within, the Dragon's spirit took away his ability to use magic and cursed him so, from then 'till now, every child and evey child from his bloodline would inherit that Dragon's characteristics. which mainly means every single one of his crotch spawn would be born as conjoined twins.Β now i know what your thinking; if ALL of his kids are gonna be conjoined twins, and he knows this, why doesn't he just stop having kids? i dunno, maybe the guy was pro-life.

either way, having kids wasn't gonna end well for him or his family. you see, to cheat death, the Dragon was making all his kids like that because it wants to create a body for itself to reincarnate into. but none of the guy's kids would make the cut. i dunno why, maybe they all weren't good enough for it...

at least, until one kid, 400 years later, was born to the bloodline. and her name- er, names, were Rowena/Mikaela Husher. but since she's actually just one person with two heads, she goes by RoMi for short. now, RoMi was a special case in the family. because she actually became part Dragon, she had the Dragon's resistance to magic, she could even become a full-fledged Dragon, but only when she was pissed off enough.

and you'd think inheriting Super Powers from your bloodline would be fucking awesome. and if it weren't for the Monster living inside her, you'd be right. you see, the Dragon had chosen her as the vessel to be reborn in. RoMi eventually learned of this and, to this day, tries to hold it back. because if she loses control of this... thing, inside her... then pretty soon there will be nothing left; RoMi will just be an empty shell.

And That's Just How The Dragon Likes It...

No problem. I just thought that the story reminded me of the Darkness. A person from a long generation of cursed beings inheriting powers that are the possesser, not the possession.
Speaking of which, what would be the worst case scenario if the Dragon did become reborn?

Note that this worst-case scenario assumes RoMi fails to contain and control her anger consistently enough, and that the Council loses the war that would ensue. Both of those things are pretty unlikely.

A few things. One, RoMi would essentially die, having been kicked out of her own body. Two, the Terror would carry out its long-standing grudge against humans (and beings like them) in a genocidal rampage, even enlisting other similarly inclined dragons to help on the crusade. And three, because of that genocide, Arkaden Dividre would become uninhabitable for magical and otherworldly beings who are in exile from Earth, which could potentially force the Mage's Council to end the Masquerade and reveal the existence of magic, elves, dragons, etc. to the "mundane" Earth natives. Instances of fantasy-racism would just be the beginning of the resulting problems from the sudden population explosion.

So if this double-headed Dovahkiin ever completely loses her shit, all hell will break loose. Got it.

This is pretty boss. I like how you've got RoMi's human form semi-transparent in the background there.

Hoo-ah, finished at last! Quite impressive-looking for your first dragon, too! Though I do wonder about those holes in the wings...Β Rather strange that Venix's descendents would be considered freaks, though, considering the diversity of the types of people in Arkaden setting (though maybe you've explained this to me already and I derped).

Anyhoo. Many congrats!

They were freaks in their native plane of Dralisca. An as-of-yet unidentified planeswalker relocated the outcast family to Arkaden some 200 years ago.

planes? planeswalkers? ... ok, this is just a stab in the dark, but is this a Magic: the Gathering thing?!
