This one doesn't actually do anything
This is a contest entry piece I made for a contest to win a preorder copy of "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" on Zelda Universe [link] Comment if you think I should win
The symbols used:
The swirly symbol on the left of the inside circle is the Kokiri Emblem, the one on the right of the inside circle is the Zora Emblem, and the one on the bottom of the inside circle is the Goron Emblem. The symbol in the top triangle of the Triforce is the Gerudo Emblem (the Gerudo tribe is where Ganondorf comes from), the one in the bottom left triangle is the Sheika Eye (the Sheika are the guardians of the Royal Family of Hyrule), the one on the bottom right triangle is the Master Sword in its Pedestal, and the bird like symbol in the centre is the Hylian Emblem, which is not to be confused to the Crest of the Hylian Royal Family, which has the same bird like design, but has a Triforce where the head of the bird is.
EDIT: I just remembered that I saw something similar to this a long time ago, and decided to look for it again. There are various versions of [link] originally by and it was the one done by that had caught my eye a long time ago, because some other person had posted it on Zelda Universe as well, quite some time ago. These ones are also very good, and you should take a look

I'm not quite comfortable with the master sword representing the light sages' people, but seeing as they have no other symbol other than the sage medallion I'd say you made about the right choice.
In the wind waker, each sage is represented in a stained glass window. Each one has the symbol belonging to their tribe. Rauru has the royal crest as a symbol, but a triforce within a triforce would look silly. I guess you could remove the hylian crest from the center and place it in the bottom right triforce, and put the master sword in the middle, seeing as the master sword represents time, which is believed (fan speculation but well agreed on) to be the element of the seventh sage. It's also believed that since Rauru is the only Hylian sage, that Hylians are represented with light, so placing the hylian crest bottom right would be the most logical.

I applaud your Zelda knowledge, but you've made a mistake in assuming that the symbols are meant to represent the Sages. They are not of course, the three within the Triforce are symbols to represent the respective owners of each piece of it. The top is power, which holds the Gerudo symbol, Ganondorf's people, the left has the Sheika symbol, used to represent Zelda, who disguised as Sheik, and the master sword on the right, to represent Link. Then the three outer symbols for the 3 "sub" races of Hyrule, then in the center the symbol of the "dominant" race, the Hylians.

In that case I can agree to what you're saying, however I'm a bit uncertain about why you chose to represent the owners of the triforce, seeing as there's not really a specific trinity there; Link and Zelda are both Hylians.
What other artists did was use the symbols of the Godess's pearls, which is more fitting but not Ocarina of Time themed.
Seeing as the symbols don't represent the sages or the race of those sages (because the specific sages would be better of represented with the sage medallions), I'm not sure where that leaves us except here ^^

The idea was to have symbols representing all the races common in most of the games, and then symbols for the three main reoccurring characters. It was a last minute project for a contest, and I didn't want to do what others had already done in this area, so I came up with a different setup.

So, I just re read this and since I changed my mind about halfway, it didn't make a lot of sence.
Basically, I think the Hylian crest should be in the right triforce because it resembles a race like the other symbols do. The master sword should be in the middle, because it resembles time, which is generally assumed to be the seventh element.
