It doesn't really look like he is looking at her. I think it would be neat if her reflection was in the water and he was looking at that, so he wouldn't have to wrench his neck trying to see her.

My favorite piece in your gallery and one of my favorites period! This really makes me think of (though obviously it's not) Beren and Luthien in J.R.R. Tolkien's Silmarillion. A beautiful scene in the book, and this is a painting worthy of that scene!
