Wizards, sorcerers, lords...Β they don't realize the power of their own morals and ethics because they take pride in knowing the ways of the mighty and being so well schooled. It's easy for villains to make them believe the far reaching consequences of their actions (even though when they scratch their nose their foes are stymied in snobby-funny ways, like someones looking down on them) have led to their own violation of their own code which stemmed from their beliefs. "You may not dare to call them ignorant at 2 years of age but by 17, they've done it! They've definitely done it now..."

Beautiful elegant night scene, I love the beautiful make inΒ the dark cloak, there is something sinister/powerful about his pose and presence but very enticing. Gorgeous blending of the night sky and I love the artistic border of roses and thorns.

Oookay, I have to admit that I was so sad and repulsive in my previous comment because I really love this picture, the lights and colour, the softness of its hand, as a witch. So for me 'she' is perfect as a woman., and makes me scared if regarded a man

nooooo. My world has been destroyed with this word. HEEEE?!!! No-no-no-nooooo.. For me it is a she. A strong, selfish, powerfull and uncaring wizard woman. I have used this picture as a reference to my pastell drawing. (I have found your picture as an avatar in an online-roleplay game - there was no painter's name and anything...) But I feel sorry for founding you in DA... Since I can not tell the original painter that you are mistaken in the question of the gender...

If my memory serves, in the books Azhrarn had a beautiful mortal lover who was given a horse fashioned of stars and smoke and would ride across the seas at night, but when the day came it would flee the sun. When Azhrarn learned that his lover was growing less and less content with his life lived in darkness, he created a phantom ship to taunt his lover every evening. Each night making it go further and further out to sea so that finally, one night, it was too far out and the sun was rising. He was racing to the shore but too late, the horse dissolved under him and he had never learned to swim. He drowned and so goes the saying that "What demons love, they slay in the end." Since it looks like water and whatnot, my theory is it's his drowned lover.
