Oh NOOOOO

Anything but a dead bird...

I hope it didn't suffer.

This reminds me of American Beauty, one of my very favorite movies. Ricky films a dead bird, and when asked why, he replies "Because it's beautiful". And I absolutely love this quote from the movie- "Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world, I feel like I can't take it, and my heart is just going to cave in." This is another amazing capture you've gotten.

You're young hun. You won't be disgusted by these things when you see any creature form and become beautiful.

Yes it's a dead bird, but don't forget a dead baby bird.

I didn't say this is beautiful (though it is to some including me). But if you look at the early stages of life of any creature that you regard as beautiful, you'll see they looked very different. Have you seen the early stages of the embryos of humans? They look similar yet when they grow they take to themselves all sorts of shapes, don't you think?

Anyway, this picture is not about how it looks...it's about the potential of what it could be and also a hint to a belief of life after death..

Somehow, this reminds me of the story of Daedalus and Icarus...

I think "summonthelight" said it.

{how ironic is it that itunes decided to play "momma I'm coming home" by Ozzy Osbourne while I was looking at this?}

Whenever I see a dead baby bird, like in this image, I always feel a deep sorrow in how frail...how weak... how small....and to never know life, to never have feathers. But I do not think that is all there is within an image like this... I agree with the title, and with your comment. This is a beautiful image, and life does not just end on the ground, dead and rotting... no, flight happens whether there are feathers or not.
