Whatever shit u kids are trying to sell, AJ ain't buying it
I was originally going to make a sibling relationship dump but I'm lazy and in a hurry lol
This is a random scenario I sketched of Dandelion turning themselves in for something Arizona did. (AJ probably said that if Arizona got into any more trouble, she wouldn't take her to the next Appleloosa rodeo)
The element of honesty's child, lying for their sibling's sake, ha. Ain't I funny.
This reffers to one of my notes
"- When they were kids, Dandelion would take the fault for something Zo did so AJ wouldn't ground her as much. AJ knew Dandy was just trying to be nice and help their sister, so she'd probably give them something really simple/dumb to do as punishment."
Have some more notes on them!
- Arizona completely loathed being the youngest sibling. All of her older brothers and sisters could do "grown-up" stuff, and help with the farm while she couldn't because she was too young and a midget among her tall and strong siblings.
- She was beyond excited when she found out she was going to be a big sister, cuz now she would be the older sibling. She'd always be like "'cause now that a'h am a BIG SISTER-"
- Well that didn't last for long, once Dandelion was born and mommy and daddy's and quite most of the siblings' attention turned to little baby Dandy and she had sort of lost her "youngest sibling" privileges, Zo became quite grump and jealous of Dandelion. She wasn't the family's baby anymore and whenever she would do something very baby/child-like her siblings and sometimes even AJ would tease her saying "but aren't ya a big sister now?" "Y'er not a baby anymore, y'er a grown-up big sister aren't ya?". She used to be "too young" for everything now she wasn't a baby anymore.
- AJ could sense Arizona's feelings of being left behind/replaced, and in the end she kinda baby-ed Zo (she was still a little kid after all) and would often try to include Zo and try to involve her whenever she was taking care of Dandelion. That's one of the factors for Arizona and Dandelion being quite close.
- Zo was also excited because she was FINALLY going to be bigger than someone. Eh. Didn't work that well.
- As they both grew up Arizona would be more and more excited about being an older sister and always said she was gonna teach Dandy everything.
"C'mere Dandy, listen, we, younger siblings, have to be together. You absolutely CAN'T trust older siblings"
"But aren't ya an older sibling...?"
"THAT'S NOT THE POINT"
- Dandelion and Arizona are complete opposites. Zo is an outgoing and energetic troublemaker. She's bold and loud, while Dandelion is a chill and quiet and well behaved pony.
- Arizona probably wouldn't believe it, but Dandelion admires her as an older sister, she' not perfect, but ever since they were really young Zo was always by their side.

What's non-binary mean? I hear that term all the time but never get a definitive answer.

If you want an explanation, non-binary means one does not identify as any of the binary genders (male and female). Basically, they're neither a boy or a girl. It's a spectrum that embraces all gender identities that are out of the gender-binary (ex: agender, gendefluid, bigender...). Took me a time to get it as well!

That's hardly fair, using the youngest second most cutest in the family to guilt trip your parents to not grounding you. ^^ I think Arizonas cuteness outweighs her siblings. Dandy is still adorable but Zo is super.duper.cute.

Lol same. It took me a while to fully understand it (I thought it was like, a specific gender identity kind of...? Kinda like agender, which was why I couldn't tell them apart, but it's sort of more of a umbrella term, a spectrum)
It's not intentional, but AJ ends up letting it pass cuz Dandy is too pure (they only wanna help their big sisss)

Birth gender? Do you mean sex? It’s fine with me if you think ones mental identity is more important than their biological sex, but I’m curious as to why. Why does ones gender identity make their birth gender insignificant? And does it matter if I know what Dandy’s biological sex is? If the two are separate, why can’t I know where it stands in both areas? I don’t mean to badger you and you don’t have to answer me if you don’t want to. I just ask out of curiosity and clarification.

Simple. It's disrespectful.
Someone's gender identity is who they truly are, who they truly identify with. Asking about their birth gender (I use birth gender to specify that is the gender that they were assigned with at birth, which is indeed according to their sexes) as if what's between their pants should be more important than who they are is simply disrespectful. Dandelion is non-binary, that's who they are. That's all that matters.
It's sort of similar to asking a trans person their "birth" name (that's called "deadnaming") or reffering to them as the gender they were assigned with at birth. You're asking someone about something they never were, someone that for them, shouldn't have ever ever existed. It's like you're denying their own existance.
