---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Edit! Updated with their backstory!
Hiya guys! You probably already know Mallorie !, the straight-forward daughter of North Point and Svengallop. But you might as well be wondering... Why and how the hell did they end up together?? Such a nice looking mare with this big butt of a stallion. So, let dive a bit into these two's relationship~
As young teenagers, North Point and Svengallop met when they were classmates on business school in Manehatten, and happened to be part of the same circle of friends. Both shared an astounding ambition for success and accomplishment in their career and future. They wanted to become something big.
North Point was enthusiastic and optmistic, she wanted to go after her dream of becoming a talented architect, and fulfilling her dream of someday projecting architeture designs that would take place in Canterlot.
Sven was ambitious and greedy, he seeked fame, notoriety, he wanted his name to be all over the biggest cities of Equestria, to become a well-known manager that every single company and celebrity would know of, and ponies would beg to work with him.
Sven and North would often hang out, either to brag and boast about their goals and ambitions or go out for a few drinks or a many. Knowing someone with the same ambitious nature and hunger for accomplishment sort of drew them together and they would often enjoy each other's company, even intimately.
During a night like any other, North and Sven were out having a drink with a couple of colleagues just as usual, and after they had their fair share of beer, a certain subject matter was brought up, and neither of the two ponies knew exactly how to respond.
Somepony from the group questions (sort of joking) North and Sven about their relationship. Both North and Svengallop were quick to deny any sort of emotional bond between themselves, it was totally not that kind of relationship.
After the rest of the ponies from the group left, North and Sven were the only ones left in the bar. The subject lingering in their minds, making the atmosphere between the two of them kind of awkward.
What exactly was their relationship?
They weren't lovers but they weren't exactly friends either. They hung out constantly, they shared a significant amount of interests, and they did kinda have good physical compatibity. None of them were actually sure if they were in love with the other one, and neither were willing to explore the option. They had too many plans for their own futures, they knew love would only be a distraction in their careers.
As an attempt to break the ice and the atmosphere between them, North Point makes a peculiar proposal.
What if, in case both them happened to remain single untill they reached their mid-thirties or so, they would get together, maybe get married and perhaps have a kid?
It sounded quite like a silly and stupid idea, but drunk as they were, they laughed at themselves, leaving the proposal open to a "sure, why not?" as they finished their drinks and eventually headed home.
As time went by, North Point's enthusiasm and efforts showed great results in her school performance, and granted her a recomendation letters that allowed her to attend to a very well respected school in Canterlot through a scholarship she had earned. When North Point moved away, both ponies parted ways and followed their own paths to achieve success in their careers.
North Point's devotion to her passion paid off as her astounding performance and talent in architecture and design amazed many ponies from even among the highest societies of Canterlot. Over the years, her career had only been thriving. She had won many awards in conferences and had earned the right to a spot among the top members of Cantelot society known as Canterlot Trendsetters. Everything was prospering on her career.
Sven on the other hand, took a different path. His obessession with glory and greatness and his rather narcisistic nature led Sven to furious and agressive social climbing. He was willing to get what and where he wanted no matter what he had to do to achieve it, motivating him to manipulate and use others for his own good. Although he eventually did get some social status, obviously not by the most honest and morally correct of ways, Sven was known as a very arrogant professional.
Many years went by, North Point was living the life she always dreamed of, she had her dream job, social status, financial stability, she had everything. Well, she had achieved a lot, but not everything. Somehow, even with all of her acomplishments, North Point still felt a void deep inside. Something... Something was missing.
Everything about her academic life and career had been cautiously planned over and over, she achieved all her goals... But North Point never ever cared to date a single pony in all those years. She didn't have someone to share that with, She didn't have a family.
Suddenly, a nostalgic memory comes to North Point`s mind. Her college days, hanging out and drinking with a fellow white stallion. And in specific, a certain day where she made that silly and awkward proposal.
What if...
No wait, Sven probably didn't even remember that day, maybe not even her. They hadn't seen eachother nor even contacted for years.
But... Well, no harm in trying right?
North Point takes a trip to Manehatten in hopes of reconnecting with her old... friend?
She first attempts to look for him in his old apartment, but no luck. She tried her old business school, a few of their old colleagues but no one seemed to have any clue of Svengallop's whereabouts. She spent the entire day looking, but no one even knew how to point out where he could have even gone to.
Feeling a bit hopeless, as if the day was almost an entire waste of time, in honor of their old days, North Point decided to have one beer at the same bar she used to frequent, just before she took her train back to Canterlot.
And there he was.
He seemed... Miserable.
Svengallop was there, and he looked terrible.
He had dark circles around his eyes, as if he hadn't slept for days. His face looked scruffy, he clearly hadn't shaved or brushed his mane in a while, and he also wasn't wearing his suit as he normally would. He just somehow looked... Helpless.
Apparently, after his fiasco with the scandal involving his abuse of authority as Coloratura's manager, Svengallop's situation went downhill. Rumours sure spread, and the reputation he already had didn't help him either.
North always knew of his personality, that bad side of his that lacked empathy and humility. She just assumed that at some point, he'd have learned his lesson and would eventually get over it.
Well, life sure taught him that lesson.
Unwilling to give up completely on him, North Point approached the stallion, that failed to recognize the mare at first. As soon as he realized who she was, he scowled.
"Hmpf" he grunted, "What are you here for? You came to me in person just to look down on me?? To make fun of me?? Now that you've gotten everything and I'm here, miserable, a must be mere laughstock to you right??" he ranted.
North Point wasn't there to laugh at him. She was there because she was willing to give him a second chance. She couldn't really magically turn him into a great and well known manager, specially after everything he had done, but she willing to attempt to rehabilitate Svengallop.
For now, she offered him a job as her secretary, and even offered to take him in to live with her in her penthouse. But, only if he was willing to learn how to be a better pony and treat others more kindly.
Svengallop felt insulted. Him? Work under her? "No thanks". Sven indignantly refused. He didn't her help, he didn't need any help, he was clearly better on his own. But... He knew he didn't have any other choices really. After all the worse things he had done, someone was still there, willing to help him, to give him a second chance, a chance to redeem himself.
As much as he grudged it, Sven reluctantly gave in, and accepted the offer.
Nowadays, North Point, Svengallop live together in North's penthouse in Canterlot. Although Sven hasn't changed a lot in personality, he has become a great secretary/assistant to North Point and learn to work in a much more honest and responsible way. Eventually North helps him to get back on his managing career.
They're not married or in a relationship either, but they did end up having a daughter (that might have completely been conceived by accident) which North Point completely adores. Mallorie is the apple of North Point's eyes and they have a great mother and daughter relationship. They're total best friends.
Sven isn't exactly a father figure to Mallorie and he doesn't bother to actually show affection towards her. They both respect eachother but there isn't really a father-daughter bond or dynamic between them.
Even though Sven has improved a lot over the years, he's still a very cranky, grumpy and stubborn pony. He still complains a lot and will often throw tantrums for very little reasons, and well as he still can be quite demanding sometimes. He still has a long way to go. I guess some things never change.
North and Mel don't mind him much and tend to ignore him when he's being overly dramatic. That's just the way he is.

I like that they're still not actually in a relationship, and that her giving him the chance to fix himself was entirely on him rather than something she had to do for him. It's interesting!

Thank you so much!!! Ever since I got this ship, I always thought that Sven had been too much of a jerk to get a "perfect" happy ending.
"Oh they meet, fall in love and have their little bundle of joy and then happy ever after yaay"
Ew no.
Not that I didn't believe Sven was capable of changing into a better pony, but more like he didn't want to. His personality, his pride, his ego wouldn't allow it. He eventually learns a more "moral" and honest way of working, but he still remains a bit of a prick in personality.
Someone does offer him a place to stay, a job, a chance to redeem himself, but he still has to work hard for it. He still had to overcome his ego and pride to take that chance. No one would magically grant him a perfect career and a "perfect" life, he had to earn it back.
They're not in a relationship and I'm not sure if they'll ever be. It's complicated. They only live together because Sven doesn't really have anywhere else to go and well he works for her so it's easier to stay close. They do happen to enjoy each other's company intimately but no strings attached. As much as North knew she wanted a child, Mallorie was indeed an accident but a really great surprise to North.
When Mel grows up, as much as she knows Svengallop is her father, they don't treat each other like so. She calls him "Sven" and are most likely to mind their own business.
Sven does actually likes to take pride on Mel's good looks sometimes. Since they really do look alike, "it was obviously thanks to him she's such a charming mare", but he never refers to her as his child or himself as her father.
