Description A stone that shone with a dazzling light poured its radiation into the Togetic. It too began to glow and in that brilliant light its trainer saw a vision.

A glorious dragon, white skinned with a rainbow gleam. A beaked head with teeth like mother of pearl topped with horns tipped in scarlet and cobalt blue mounted on a powerful neck. Specks of crimson and royal blue adorned its chest and stomach. Wide swept wings spread strong and proud, a lashing bejeweled tail. Four elegent legs with claws the color of sunset and hip feathers edged in garnet.
And its eyes were so intense it was like looking into the sun, but one in which was contained all the colors of red and blue.

But when the light faded the trainer saw that the beautiful dragon had been contained, trapped within the form of a white bird. A bird with no neck and tiny, weak legs and feet. Beady eyes of coal black. Fluffy, stubby wings and a stunted tail.

The trainer fell to his knees in agony at this realization. "Why!" he cursed the Game Freak gods of Pokemon, "Why have you done this?!"
The bird peeped at him and he wept.
He knew why. They were jealous.
The Game Freaks' avatars- the legendary Pokemon- were not nearly as magnificent as the Toge-dragon so they cursed it.
Cursed it from magnificence to fluffiness in their petty jealousy.

I'm glad you agree, but with what?

That they didn't want a pokemon better then the legendaries...
Or:
That Togekiss was a bit of a let down.

No kidding.
While it wasn't terrible stat wise, it was really sad what it ended up looking like.

Do you think it would reduce the ice weakness?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Shyrony In reply to AzureGryphon [2011-10-05 17:11:45 +0000 UTC]

No, Ice is only resisted by steel, ice, fire, and water, while strong against dragon, grass, and ground.

I've heard that Roost 'removes' the flying type on birds, leaving them normal. Do you know if that's right?
That would remove the ice weakness, and the electric and rock too.

Also in that case, be cause they lose the flying type, attacks that are normally weak to flying with move up in the effective stage. Make normal/flying weak to fighting and the other types that was paired with flying.

Yes, roost remove the flying type only after it is use and during the turn it was use, so speed and timing is everything. A note of caution, roost also affect the "Levetate" ability too so beware about that.

Pokemon with Roost or Levitate? Or Togepi? No, others, yes- extensively, I've filled boxes with a single Pokemon before, and am doing so now.

Breeding tm's keeps them "alive"

Breeding TM's ? Huh?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Shyrony In reply to AzureGryphon [2011-10-21 04:30:07 +0000 UTC]

Well some pkmn can learn moves that happen to be tm moves. Now tm moves can be pass down to offsprings as Egg Moves. However, only Daddies can pass on moves to the offsprings.

Yes, sometimes I do breed for TM's. However, now that There is that IV checker in Nimbasa City, I breed for the best stats possible over moves.

Iv's are tricky to track without the Iv checker. I match the pokemon Nature with moves and the pokemon itself.

It is really something I'd never even really thought of until I found out about the IV Checker. I found out some of my favorite pokemon (some at rather high levels) have only decent stats (No! My Surperior...) and I was appalled. I've set about breeding them and I now have three Pokemon with outstanding stats- two Snivys from breeding and a Luvdisc from PDW.

Bulbapedia have stat range charts that show the pokemon's min and max stat valuse that you would is in their status screen. They even apply IV's and EV into it as well as the pokemon's nature. It's very useful to see if your pokemon's stat is at it's absolue best. Here's Snivy's Info now:[link]

I fially managed to breed a shiny! The little purple-eyed Joltic may not have the stats I was breeding for but it's pretty cute.
