I would never have guessed that I could make a zombie and pastels and still have it look so disturbing.

Is it odd that I think he's kinda pretty?

Compositionally, he came out quite nicely- his head ends up more or less on a vertical third, leading lines abound- taking your eye all over his body and to his head, and the shading came out quite nicely.

In case you were wondering exactly what flesh and bone is shown...
Skull is clean with one eye and possibly some grey matter remaining. Neck bones are clean, the back and body are mostly bones with leathery, desiccated skin and ragged, matted feathers still clinging. Right leg has a fully covered thigh, some muscles on the calf, desiccated flesh covering the foot. Smallest toe is missing the last joint and claw. Left leg is bare bone as is left wing. Right wing is bone to the elbow joint pat which it is fully covered. Pubis bones (behind hip joint, below tail bones) exposed. Tail feathers are still present but rather ragged (I can't really see zombies grooming much), some are broken.
