A new pokemon from X&Y! I went all out on this, its not very often i paint a background, so any opinions would be welcome! The light coming from the pokeball was a challenge, im still not overly fond of it, but i got tired of my endless tweakings!I feel like im improving
im pretty proud of this piece. ummm watch out if you download it...its HUGE, lol i dont know how to resize it.Thanks for looking and enjoy! ^^

This is fantastic.
Litleo looks as if it is a cheetah or a lioncub, the grass and sky goes spectacular with the pokeball energy catching the little lion/cheetah creature. This truly impressive scenery is amazing. You can see the forest right behind Litleo. You can also see the grass roots and clearly detailed rocks and ground-floor that brings the viewer into the Pokemon World. A strange yet curious world with adorable animals.
The eyes, wow, that is impressive, the shine coming from the eyes and eyebrow are another magnificent thing itself.

This is really beautifully done. Litleo and Pyroar are my new favorite Pokemon (huge considering my old favorites, Growlithe and Arcanine, have been my favorites since I was a kid). I am normally not a fan of Pokemon art done with a more realistic style, but this is the best fan art of Litleo I have ever seen. Great job.

Despite of fact that I don't like fire pokemon, the more I'm finding great Litleo drawings, such as this, the more I want to catch it when I will be plaing the Pokemon X/Y. Awesome work

Awesome job, I love it! I'm SO glad they finally made a fire cat! I've been waiting for a fire cat since second generation! This generation shows a lot of promise already, I can't wait to see Litleo's evolutions

I like this a lot. You say that you went all out on it, and it really shows.
Overall, I think the scenery is well done. It gives a great impression of dry savanna, adding interest without distracting from the subject Pokemon and Pokeball. The soft yellow-browns of the grass and subdued dark blues of the sky create a lovely color scheme in combination with Litleo's colors. Nice contrast of warm and cool colors.
The only thing that doesn't sit entirely well with me is the grass texture you used. It looks like the standard Photoshop grass brush, which in addition to having a slightly distracting pixelated look, sticks out to me as an obvious shortcut amid the great effort put into the piece as a whole. I can see places where individual tufts of grass appear to be hand-drawn, such as the small ones right in front of the Pokeball and the rock Litleo is sitting on, and those look gobs better to me and more in keeping with the rest of the piece. There is nothing wrong with using brushes and textures (in fact, I believe I see others in the big rock and distant blurred grasses/bushes in front of the silhouetted trees), but the standard grass is extremely recognizable as such. If you are able, a grass brush you make yourself would provide the same convenience while saying to viewers, "*Azureith 's art" instead of "Standard grass brush was here."
I admit that the grass brush is a personal peeve of mine, but I don't want you to get the wrong idea, as I think what you have created here is simply superb overall.
