I find, the Mist Dragon kinda belongs ot the "unique summon" galore. A summon which appears only in this game.

She should appear in WAY MORE games than just FFIV! Seriously she was great as a boss, summon, and char. I'm so darn sick of Bahamut taking the spotlight so much! Or even Leviathan!

At least Rydia has with her mist dragon a guest appearance in World of Final Fantasy.
Now, now. Don't be that harsh. I like Leviathan and expecially Bahamut (maybe because I have a thing for serpents and dragons)
Even derived from the creatures of some mythologies both are indeed iconic summons.

Me neither, till I discovered it through Record Keeper as one of the most powerful summons next to Neo Bahamut, Dark Valefor and the three Lunar summons (Dragon, Leviathan, Ifrit) ... according to the list of summons for this mobile game

As mentioned, it's a mobile exclusive game. Conidering this like a gigantic "playable archive" where you relive the stories of several FF-titles. Regularly there will be themed events of a certain FF-title where you can recruit new characters, getting neat stuff and so on.
Also there's a story mode where you can experience of the stories of different FF-titles in the neat pixel style, really pretty to see the golden era and modern titles in sweet pixel (FF 7 - FF 15)
An archive mode, a challenge mode, torment dungeons and even more.
