I already have the idea set in my head for weeks. Initially was gonna make this into a regular manga page with actual panels but didn't know how to lay them out so I went with this.

Oh yes I absolutely LOVE Fire Emblem. One of my favorite games, the whole series in fact. In fact, my account's namesake, Aurucia herself, is a pivotal character in my work in progress Fire Emblem fangame: Resonance Emblem. The sprite I have for my Avi right now is her as a child, which is used in the game's Prequel, Symbol of Destiny, which takes place ~15 years prior to the events of Resonance Emblem. I'm working on SoD right now mostly, in order to get my name out there and such. When I'm not working on stuff or playing a MMO though I hang out in the dA chats, one of my main rooms is #AskFireEmblemChat, which is absurdly ridiculous most of the time. I've got a few good friends in there~.

Yeah, I have. Though sometimes I wonder how the hell I beat FE8 my first playthrough... looked back at my first endgame save and 7/8ths of the characters were dead lol.
And really, the permanent death isn't a reason to hate the series.
It's a really great series with powerful story and lovable characters. I mean, if it wasn't, why would there be such a fandom for it? XD;
Plus, iirc... In the newer fire emblem games they added a "casual mode" where characters just retreat if you lose them, (aside for the main Lord obviously) easing new players into the game a bit better.
