Description
Winter is coming again and this will be the third winter season since I joined DA.Mostly my romance pictures come from this season because these characters' story was started in winter.
Those who watch me in the earlier times would know.
I was inspired from watching REC and reading the manga. Kinda put me in the mood to draw pictures like this.
Also trying a different coloring style.

The girl is wicked cute here. I love her expression and pose (the one finger up). Its like she made a very funny point and it really proud of her self. I'm really love how you high lighted her hair, it looks amazing. The scarf is beautifully done as well. Great attention to those small details at the bottom of it. The way you colored and shaded it gives it a nice textured feel as well.
On the guy I like his outfit. The buttons look great and the glasses look really good as well. Nice job on the shading and highlighting of his hair too and nice choice on the BG, it fits the whole picture perfectly.

This girl (the same as the one from the other picture you have commented) has a personality of not speak up for herself and very timid around strangers but not to this guy.
Her hair highlight I was very fond of it but unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce that kind of highlight as I wanted on other pictures so I started exploring hair highlighting to see if I can get the hang of making this type of lighting.
You may have noticed the shading is different from some other pictures, this one is closer to illustration CGs rather than cel-shade. The scarf texture and shading on their clothes were to keep balance to the overall so I went with that style for this picture.

I hate when that happens, you do something and it looks great but you can't seem to reproduce it. I did notice that about the shading on it, I quite like it

My coloring style hasn't been consistent because sometimes I like this coloring way and sometimes I like the other. Usually I'd try to find anything that fits the current mood I have.

Ah that's it, that must have been the reason. Though when I'm really lazy about drawing but still want to post something I usually make those 4 coma comics that don't require shading.

I found 4comas are much easier to do but I don't want to limit myself with just 4comas.
I probably will keep trying for the long story manga.

This is really pretty. And I HATE snow....but I still really like this. It's so soft and she looks so happy and mmm *looks lovestruck*
On a more technical note, I really like how their clothes are coloured. It looks a lot more realistic ^o^

This style of coloring is actually a lot more time consuming but I think it's worth it.

Yes.....we get snow in Alaska.....we already have it actually....about a foot in some areas.....and I hate it XO It usually falls sometime right before Halloween. It looked like it was gonna be late this year, until about two days ago when it all decided fall at once X<

lol Yep. Snow's everywhere now. In Alaska we don't have regular seasons. We have break up, road construction, plummit, and winter.
Break up: Equivalent of spring...only messier and terrible smelling.
Road Construction: Takes over all of the nice spring/summer months and makes it a pain in the ass to get to anywhere you're going. Oh yeah, did I mention that it doesn't really get dark at all during these months?
Plummit: The brief month or two of fall that flies by, because the leaves seem to all plummit at once. No bother in raking them....they'll be covered in snow within a few days it seems >_>;
Winter: Takes up the months of mid-October to February, March, or even up until May sometimes >_>; No joke. That and near perpetual darkness for almost 6 months straight isn't really a good thing either.
Case in point: Alaska sucks. Never move here if you don't like to be cold and/or wet, you have an affinity for sunlight, or hate snow.

Winters are hard. A lot of Alaskans suffer from SAD (Seasonal Affectiveness Disorder) where we all tend to get more moody and depressive during the winter because it gets really dark for long periods of time and we only get to see the sun for a few hours (depending on your sleep schedule, you may never see the sun) each day. It's really bad. Which is why my fiance and I are going to be moving here soon. XD
