Personality:
Youko is... very awkward. Like, wow. She hides her awkwardness by being very, very quiet, though she is by no means shy. Most of her silence comes from her not knowing what to say or how to react, but she's gotten a lot better in recent years. Her expression doesn't change much from one emotion to the next, but make no mistake, she is easily excitable. Youko is endlessly curious and is fascinated by many things, and her adventurous spirit had only grown since she started taking her Explorer job more seriously. She’s often unsure of herself, so she charges into things headlong to forget about the uncertainty. She’s not one to back down against challenges, even if she’s scared of them, and is stubbornly and stupidly loyal.

History:
When Youko was younger, at a time long, long ago, she got sick. The disease slowly robbed her of any motor function; it started off as random muscle spasms and stiffness, but very soon she could no longer move her fingers. Then her hands went out, then arm, shoulder, and the lower body followed quickly. No one in the little village knew what to do, and the best healers could do nothing. Her family was poor, but not the poorest, and her parents hired all sorts of people to try to heal their daughter. Nothing worked, however, and soon she could do nothing but blink. She laid silently on the bed for 5 more years, and the day after she turned 16 she passed away in her shroomish friend’s arms.

She was sick for a long, long time. That she remembers. The onslaught of panic when one of her hands falls asleep, the scar across her face…. She can’t seem to remember any explanations for them. Apparently she was a ghost before? No matter…. It was all in the past now. Youko woke up in the Scorched Mountain Temple, with the demon priest Kuroketsu and grumpy fairy Kouki by her side. She didn’t know any of their names until much later, however. The only mementos she woke up with are loose pieces of sparkling objects, an aquamarine spelltag, a sooth bell, and a worn-out block of moonstone. Now, she skips through the village, looking for interesting pieces of objects as she goes. Her memories… Wherever they may be… She will find them for sure, right?

Youko regained her memories in a rush, with the help of her friend Kouki. Even if things would remain... Awkward between them for at least a little while, she moved back to the fairy's home, where she stayed as a ghost. Aside from remembering the journeys they had when she was a ghost, nothing changed much for the absol. Youko still spend her days hanging around Scorched Mountain, carrying out her tasks as an explorer by exploring the most ordinary of places and objects.

Recently, she started taking more challenging exploring jobs. Youko had her fair share of poking around the immediate surroundings of Scorched Mountain, and she was growing more confident in her abilities to take care of herself. Sent out as one of the explorers in search of Radiant Harbor, she is now ready to go on even more adventures!

-Height: 5’4”
-She doesn’t know why but her left eye is blind and she has a scar across her face
-Surprisingly afraid of the cold
-A black, glowing kind of mark appears on her forehead whenever she attacks. She’s a terrible fighter, though, and is a bit of a wimp so…. That won’t happen often
