It was another peaceful day in the town hall. Isabelle had a productive morning and was about to have a cup of coffee. But there was something strange about today’s coffee.
As soon as the scent of the coffee hit the back of her nose, something changed in Isabelle. As if she’d been woken up. She was awake before but now she was alert and aware of something more than her cosy existence. That death would come to us all… and someone would need to process those damned souls.
As this grim knowledge filled her head her body changed too, growing taller and her outfit changing from ‘small town professional’ to ‘corporate hellscape professional’. Fur vanished from her body except on her head which grew into long white curls. As her muzzle shrunk she appeared almost human except for her tail which grew long black and pointed and a pair of what appeared to be ram’s horns. The inside of her head was changing too as the Isabelle identity was let go and a new persosa took the job.

Pandemonium sighed in frustration, she’d drifted off, wound up in an unsettlingly cutesy and twee place with no clue of how she got there and, worst of all, in the process somehow spilt her coffee! There'd better be a coffe machine in this backwater burg or there would be hell to pay.
