Just spent a weekend in Nijmegen. Your photo reminds me of so many bars I have visited. Belgium can be entertaining too. German bars are just a place to drink.

I understand what you're saying I think, I'm not keen on those sweet and cute pregnant photos and I've seen them roar it's ugly head here on DA where a lot of people that have a kind of fetisch for pregnant ladies. drawn or photographed. I did my perspective on this pregnancy and I really like it!

If he's one of your good friends (there can be only one "best") then I do understand the awkwardness that may be caused ... however, the subject of your mutual admiration does look rather alluring in her pregnant condition, casually parked by the pool table.

While I do find this shot awesome (although i don't really like the lighting on the balls, it's too warm for my tastes), I find it a bit unsettling the way you respond to people who displayed concern for the pregnant woman smoking... I mean "Good for her, way better than all these obese kids in the world!"... don't you think that's a tad too harsh? From my expertise (studied to become a doctor, but gave it up in the end) I assure you it's far better to have an overweight child than to give birth to a malformed one. Just a thought on how you deal with your audience.

Thank you for you concern and for the time you took to write your comment. After this image kinda became viral, I got so much shit from people who were telling me smoking is bad during pregnancy. I know it is, that is why I borrowed the cigarette from a colleague and returned it unlit. Same goes for the shot with the glass of wine, you hear nobody about that....
I agree, that that is not the way to treat my audience, but I kinda got fed up with to much reactions.... Then again, this was meant as art...
