It's art. The smoke is fake, she was just holding a cigarette for the photograph. The artist said photoshop made the smoke on the top of it. I love this picture, very creative.

Please notice that the photographer says it wasn't actually lit, and that the smoke was done in Photoshop. And you'd be quite surprised at the number of pregnant women who believe smoking and drinking does not affect the child whatsoever. But this is a piece of art meant to arouse interpretation, not to depict real Life.

Quite the opposite, most women I knew who have been pregnant usually smoke their selves and believe it causes no harm to the child. And if they don't smoke their selves, they still cozy up to the father, even if he smokes, thinking that second hand smoke is only bad for her.

You'd be surprised. The number of women who believe and encourage each other to "have one little glass" or a quick puff makes me wonder. I worked at a museum for a while with a feminist group of women who said they did "a little bit of both" before having their kids "and they turned out ok":/
