Description Yup, I'm making dandy time. My demented version of the fanart100 just might finish when Hubble goes offline, if I keep this up!

Which is odd, since I've go absolutely NO idea where the heck this takes place, what M.D. is doing, or really, why the heck she's in that stupid pose like some ninja wannabe. All I know is that I OD'd on Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Nojahoda, and Bruce Springsteen, and that this is the result. I had the stupid pose all drawn up, and since I am a lazy bastard and couldn't think of a background (except maybe a few people squinting and wondering if she was doing the robot), I decided to use the style of "Playing with Light." [link] I can't believe that piece is almost two years old now.

Not sure if the effect works or not (I've never been hot with light sources), but oh well.

Ha. Look at this piece, then look at the piece you've provided the link to. Then look back. You've come such a long way. I have no idea why you don't think you could make a living doing this. You are passing into the realm of awesome.
Though the pose isn't your usually style (perhaps your wit is diseased...) it looks great. Her face is very intense, as it would be, and the lighting is great. The lights at the top seem to make an eye but I dunno if that was intentional. Nice.

Yes, yes, it both pains and pleases me to see how I've come along. Actually, while digging around in my junk box, I found one of the first pictures I ever drew of M.D. This was, like, from 2000, 2001. (Amazing how old this stuff is...) I didn't know whether to reminisce, sob, or guffaw. It certainly made me realize I've actually learned stuff. What really frightens me is that on the back of the drawing was some half-finished notes on Neptune. The contents? "The frozen popsicle. Neptune is a pretty blue color." PRETTY BLUE COLOR??? What was I, twelve or two? Or maybe M.D. is older than I thought. (Another scary thought!)

Huh. You're right, it does look like an eye. I didn't consider that when I made it; I was still in "Ooh, swirly!" mode.

Yes! *warbles* My wit is diseeeeeaaaaased....! *prances off in classic Kenneth Branagh style after slamming Ophelia into a one-way mirror*

I was totally just on IMDB looking for screenshots (instead of studying like I should be) but there weren't any good ones.

...Neptune is pretty.

And I would do all of the above, except for the sobbing. Nobody's an awesome artist when they start, but you've kept it up long enough to become an awesome artist. Hence, reminiscing. You can laugh because it's funny.

Really? Awww. *would really like to have a wallpaper of little Ophelia in her straitjacket*

Yes. I suppose it is. But still... PRETTY BLUE COLOR?

And thank you for the love. I did have a good laugh at it. Now all I need to do is look at my attempts at poetry back in middle school and I can die happy.

Sorry it took me FOREVER to get back to you. And if all goes well (or not) you may not get this for awhile. Write onwards!

I want one of the scene where he's running away from the guards.

So you didn't know that many words for blue yet...

Hey, it's good to see that you've improved.

Met my page quota for today (forty-six pages! Power on, oh muse! Don't you dare give out on me!)

*has a very amusing mental picture of Hamlet bolting down a hallway with guards behind him. The sound effect of him running? FLEE!*

That coloured light that's coming out in strings--that's totally working for me. And what's amazing is you've pulled that off with a traditional medium...coloured pencil,no less.

Aw, look at the improvement! I remember I liked that piece a lot, but I like this one even better.

Well, if I tried it digitally, someone would probably end up dead. I confess, it was touch-and-go and some points, but for some reason, my colored pencils seem to really like being blended in light strings. I probably used more of them on this piece than I did "Beginnings" or "Middles."
