Description Guess who's back again? That's right: my stupid little pics because I can't find inspiration out of anything better than fanart100 prompts!

I started the lines for this during the Great Writing Project O' Doom. After that, I found I didn't want to write ANYTHING EVER AGAIN. (This wasn't helped by AP tests, where I have to bang out three essays in two hours.) So I finished this, and discovered, once again, how much I love my little Rapidograph pens. *huggles teh pens again* Did I tell you I found the same kit I have for $65 at the co-op? And I bought mine for less than five! God, I lovelovelove garage sales!

Anyway, you guys probably remember Beginnings and Middles. This is after that. Our cranky runt, M.D., has given up the fight. To her horror, she discovers that despite all her efforts to loathe him, Raige's actually a person she wants to keep around. It's just impossible to maintain proper levels of hatred when someone keeps beating you over the head with kindness, something both Gandhi and Raige full well knew. However, just because she decides he's a friend doesn't mean she's socially ept. Judging by Raige's expression, she's giving him the Facts of Life discussion. Not the one your parents give you when you turn ten; the one where you try to explain to a hormonal adolescent that you were neutered at birth and will remain prepubescent for life. Note that she doesn't see this as something wrong; in fact, she thinks herself lucky, and she has no idea why every Earthling she meets seems more willing to accept that she's from another planet and goes psychic at physical contact. Considering the circumstances and M.D.'s complete lack of subtlety when explaining the matter, Raige takes the news fairly well. And thus begins a friendship.

God, I hate drawing legs. But somewhere along the way, I started to like drawing that green plaid jacket. I blame this on an overdose on Flogging Molly.

*points* You have changed your avvy again. Oh, and my brother is now a LOST addict.

Yes! One day... one day, I swear... I will become... SHIRT FOLD MASTAH!

I love changing avvys!!! It's fun. You should try it sometime. *tauntingly pokes at Tree avvy*

And I'm amazed that I have somehow vicariously lived through you and got your brother hooked on LOST as well. What an achievement! I don't think anyone's accomplished this before.

Oh, and SHIRT FOLD MASTAH? You're only a few steps away. Really.

Hey, don't diss my little Tree avvy. He has his seasonal changes--Santa hat at Christmas, being dead during surgery, now a little titanium ear... besides, I've got nothing else.

You possessed me. You're a poltergirl.

Ooooo, poltergirl. Which reminds me...I still haven't seen that damn movie all the way through. Fer chrissakes, I just saw the entire Psycho yesterday (and, ironically, on Mother's Day-- what kind of poor planning is that for the channel?)!

Oh, and yeah. Your tree is adorable, but I think he should go tranny on Halloween to honor Tim Curry in Rocky Horror. Because, as we all know, trees love being trannies.

I have! (When I was ten.) Scared me pretty bad too. Psycho is better, though. Cuz Hitchcock is our man. Though, although I've been meaning to, I have not yet seen Rocky Horror--though my dad owns the soundtrack in vinyl and I love it.

*cough* Yes. More than you know.

Rocky Horror is some pretty craaazy stuff, dude. I don't remember feeling sane for for even a second while I was watching it.

must. resist. urge. (to make a crack at M.D./Raige-ness, of course).

I have seen the rapidograph pens at the Art Cellar, and I have to agree on both account of beauty and expense. Garage sales make the world go 'round. I was introduced to them as a small child by my grandma and mom, and it is still one of our favourite parts of the spring/summer.

The legs are fantastic (particularly considering that that particular stance is OF THE DEVIL to draw). I enjoy your draftsmanesque way of drawing. Just can't get over that.

Also, though I know how much you love symbolism and reading into things, I am attracted to the fact that M.D. is now holding her gloves. Hey, can't help the way I think--blame A.P. Lit (you know you want to.)

One tiny thing (courtesy my illustration and observational drawing classes) is the tangency between Raige's right arm and M.D.'s head. I know they aren't touching, and that's a good thing, though it's close. Not a real big thing, though. The drawing is lovely.

OH. And the two Infinity Smashed illustrations are graded and once again in my hands. So now I shall mail them out ^______^. (A's on both of them HUZZAH.)

Yeah. I bless the college student who was getting rid of her tonnage of art supplies--without her, I'd still be stuck with my crappy old pen. God bless Rapidograph, and gypping them out of their money! Woo!

What is a draftman, exactly? I've heard of them, but I sadly don't really know what they are...

Actually, I did the gloves thing because I already had drawn her hand in that position and was too pleased to change it. But it looked like she was holding something and so... ta-da! So booya; no symbolism here. :nyaanyaa: Evil, evil AP Lit class--I just took the AP test last week. :shudder:

*winces* Yes, I noticed that. Unfortunately, by the time I had it up, I would've had to completely erase Raige and redraw him, and part of my brain just cried, "NO!" So I figured, whatever, he can bonk M.D. in the head with his elbow, if he wants; lord knows I wouldn't blame him.

Yeehaw! You're on! (And congrats on your A's!) While we're at it: I really want to mail the hard copy of Infinity Smashed out to you, but like I said, eight bucks a pop hurts me pretty hard, even with my job. Is there ANY address you can give me that would be more likely for you to receive it at? I don't want to fight with the Postal Service... it's bad karma.

I especially like your eye for detail here. Detail has always been my favorite aspect of any artwork.

Yes. Now, if only I can apply that eye for detail to basic background and household objects...

Yes! Astounding that nobody at home has ever heard of them, but three of the people I keep track of up here know who I'm talking about!

I'm glad; I probably spent more time scribbling at those than I did on everything else. By the end of it, I was ready to toss in the towel and claim them amputees.

LOLz! rewrite the whole world they inhabit based on the fact that none of the characters have legs?

Sure, why not? Stranger things have been done in the writing world. (Like the sequels to "Dune.")
