Guess what time it is, guys! That's right, it's the yearly tradition of the BaaingTree going head-to-head with PaintShop Pro8 and getting her wooden butt served back on a plate! And guess what happened this year? She got her wooden butt served back on a plate. Boy howdy, who'da thunk it? PaintShop Pro8 was determined to kill me this time. At least four times during the coloring process, it deleted chunks of layers, added lines and changed colors, and finally changed it from layer to layer. It pixelized the flat colors beyond recognition, so I had to go through and fix it up, and some of the lines make me cry because I had to use the mouse to redraw them. By the time I saved the final thing, I was so sick of it that I gave up on keeping it from being compressed, so Raige's hair looks like some kinda skin on a purse. Finally I just saved it as a bitmap out of disgust; even though DA won't let me submit that version, I can at least point and say, "Ha! Once, my son, I was able to USE the program!" Sorry about the poor quality. Grrraaaaah. Grah, grah, grah. Now I remember why I indulge in this tradition only once a year.

And yes. I was inspired by the fanart100 challenge. (Don't know what it is? Check it out: [link] ) Don't know how, seeing as I've been artistically dead for a while, but it did. Only since I draw fanart about as often as I tackle PainShop ProHate, I decided I'd use it for mine own purposes. In this case, M.D. and Raige. Ah, the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
