Description Lord. If I draw at the average rate I do, I will probably finish the fanart100 prompts in oh... ten years. Nine at bottom. Note that this time, I learned my lesson and didn't go anywhere near PainShop ProHate. (Painshop: "Booya!" *victory dance*)

So... yes. Middles. M.D. (cranky girl on left) would like to have everyone believe she is impervious to guilt, and on the most part, it's an effortless state of being. However, there is a limit to the amount of abuse even she can dish out, especially to someone as unoffensive and unforgivingly generous as Raige (guy on right) is. He pretty much takes the Nice Stick and beats her over the head with it until she succumbs. This is a little before that point, and she's still putting up a fight, but after accepting his jacket, she's close to just giving up, and he knows it. Maybe that's why he looks so amused.

In general, I'm happy with the penciling, even though coloring green plaid is proving to be less than fun. (Except when I'm stuck in an Anatomy lecture with no attention span. Then it's good.) However, there is one thing that bothers me. When I first drew this, I planned to have them both sitting down. Unfortunately, I misjudged the amount of paper space I had, and as a result, it looks like they're standing and that I simply screwed up my proportions. Though M.D. makes up for it in volume, there is a huge size difference between these two, which is what I was trying to convey with the jacket. It's too small for Raige, but fits her like a tent. Unfortunately, due to my lack of brain, I screwed it up. So pleh.

I'll just shut up now.

it's cute ^-^ I like the attention to the folds and creases in the shirt.. - playing with fabric like that is not something I find easy!

Clothing wrinkles were one of my first obsessions. (My friends put up with me shrieking, "Hold still! I want to catch the wrinkles in your shirt!" with fairly good grace, bless them.) I still can't do mega-wrinkles like ones in capes and dresses and stuff, though. Those are HARD.

*LUFS*
Expressions! I love them!

(lack of brain, did you say? Be quiet, anatomy girl.)

Raige's shirt *teehee*... Augh, they're so wonderfully in character. *duh sound emitted from nowhere) Okay, so I suppose that would be obvious since they're yours, after all, but some people can't get that life vibe.

The green shirt looks wicked, hence, it took a lot of time. You are very good with coloured pencils. But don't hate CG forever...I don't really like the "three-dimensional-ish" CG colouring myself (maybe it's because I SUCK), but after much much messing around on Photoshop, I'm beginning to see there is more then one way to paint with the thing...

They do look like they are standing up, though outside of slighting your canon, I don't think it takes away from the picture. I really like how you found an effective way to "end" them with the line. I think it emphasizes your style of drawing in a flattering way (the folds in the clothes also do this flattering of the style-- <3 )

I don't think you screwed up the size thing. Clothing is hard... maybe to pump it up, indicate where the shoulders of the jacket would fall on M.D.

Expressions will always be my favorite thing. My foreshortening might be mediocre and my perspective nonexistent (until my drawing classes start!) but at least I can do my expressions.

You know Latin? I didn't know that.

Colored pencils are my babies. *huggles gallon Ziploc bag full of mixed cheap colored graphite* And worry not about your CG; at least you can do it in less than five hours.

Meh. The line was simply a repeat in the style of "Beginnings" for a more enclosed look. In fact, both "Beginnings" and "Middles" are on the same page, so I wanted continuity.

Lol...I can't read Latin. I recognized Latin and then check the words up in the MegaHugeDictionary or online.

Coloured pencils rule the world of colouring.
Anything longer than an hour is too long(hence, my flat boring colouring).

Precisely! That's the connection I mean! It works : ).

Ah. Of course. It's actually from a poem by Catallus. A couple of my buddies are in Latin, and the line, "Great gods, an eloquent midget!" was simply too much to resist. Not to mention it sounded dorky enough for Raige to wear.

Colored pencils are wonderful, except that scanners don't like them too much. I lucked out with mine; I picked the whole huge bag up at a neighbor's garage sale for a buck, along with the old NES version of Tetris. Flat coloring doesn't work for me; as of yet, I haven't found a single color that does white-person skin convincingly. So I have to shade and such unless I want that appealing pasty look so common on Morlocks and students nowadays.

Not with coloured pencils, no. Though I think the closest is a red-orange, done very lightly.

Oh, with colored pencils I have no problem. (Unless I mistake my Empire for my Crayola peach pencil, in which case I cry and have to go over with tiny bits of pink and brown.) But digitally... *shudder*

Yes! "Great gods, an eloquent midget!"

And it's not screwed up. It looks good. The only thing messed up around here is your scanner.

Wrinkles look awesome.

Yes! I made that T-shirt especially for you and Lizzy, because... well, why not?

I'm glad. Those wrinkles, especially on the plaid, invaded my sleep at times. Tough.
