Love the texture of the car. The peeling paint and streaking on the bonnet gives the subject the 'aged' feel.
How did the shot look in colour? Might have given more to the shot.
I particularly like the lighting in this shot also.
Again, adds to the finished product.

haha its not a ford. thats good. im very fond of old trucks. ive gotta get a camera and take a pic of the one out in my woods... it looks just like this one.
the truck has a lot of character. and the contrast is exceptional

sort of a blue/orange. Darker blue originally probably, orange from the massive amount of rust

It actually seems like it's in suprisingly good shape.. although im assuming the darker portions of it is rust? Anyways, awesome shot. I especially like the vividness of the reflection in the windows, which dont seem to be even that dirty. Great shot of a great Chev.

I have a similar vehicle (VERY similar oddly enough) in my own neighborhood, and I call it "old faithful" kinda the same ring to it huh? Anyway, I love the amount of detail you captured in this beautiful black and white! Black and white photos are my favorite because I wass into photography in high school, all we could make was b/w's, so we had to be REAL creative, too bad I don't have any of those pics anymore... .. . But with skills like yours, at least I can reminisce!

conveying the emotion with this. It reminds me of a puppy, lying and waiting for someone to come and pay it attention. It does look sad, and to convey that through a truck is no small feat. XD The angle is great, and I like the tree beside it. It helps balance it. This shot is really well done, great work!

It was in the middle of an old mining town...right around a bunch of cabins on an abandoned lot.
Beautiful place really, I have a bunch of photos in my gallery from around there
