This is really cool. I like the close up of the wing, especially. It seems just a bit confusing though the way the body is, but that's to be expected from a road-killed butterfly. Overall, it's a really neat shot. It doesn't need much, but if you wanted to you could go in with a photo program and just dim the background a little bit, dull the colours to make the butterfly stand out. Just a suggestion though, because I think it looks pretty good as it is.

People have suggested things like that to me before...
I'm not sure how to just dim the foreground or the background..any idea how to do it with microsoft digital image pro?..I'll try out a few things and see if I can do it though, thanks for the comment

mmm, I use photoshop elements for most of my digital work, so I really don't know how your program runs. x_x; it should have some selection tools though, if you have a selection brush at all, then you can just highlight the back/foreground and deal with it that way, by changing the contrast or saturation. good luck!

The end of life for a butterfly. I find it very symbolic. Sad but beautiful.

sad, but beautiful. great colors and patterns. the way it fills the frame makes it strike that much more close to home, it gives the butterfly a story and a personality, makes us relate. wonderful textures too.
