You're Samantha Hiller, right? Not to be a creeper, I just recognize your work from some stuff that Nancy has showed us. I went to Totino-Grace too! I remember Kelli Montroy telling me about you freshmen year, ha.

It's good, I'm a senior this year and we're just starting digital photography. A lot of stuff has changed, we have a new executive director named Carlo, and he's kind of a dick. But for the most part all is good.

ummm...well if you're still asking those questions....
i do see erratic in it, because of the way we all know those things work
sprial obviously, niche yes, i'm not sure how, and branch yea
just because it relates to a plant....

the picture is great. it might lack contrast a bit, but the colors are
nice. good work.

so yeah erratic, i already told you that one. And niche i kinda got like to things from it, ones kinda literal like the cuts in the apple and the others like its like cutting apples is like a niche like the person who cut this apple, this is their niche, its what they do. Abstract yes but hey thats what i get from it. And spirals pretty straight forward, you got your spiral around the metal rod and the apple skin spiraling. For Branch id say its kinda the composition like it all seems to be shifted to the upper left like its leaning a bit kind of branching out, and the way theres a lot of stuff to the left and nothing on the right makes the rod seem likea branch holding all that stuff on the end. Ok as for bestow, man i dont even know why the frick they gave you guys that word that one seems hard, um id say uh maybe its like the rods giving it to the bass pedal lookin got to the left, it just seems like thats whats goin on. Anyway hope that helps and yeah i do like theis pictures its really intruiging (sure thats spelled wrong) and i'm sure nancy will like it, good luck to ya

ok, first of all... this shot blows me away. just the physical aspects of it are amazing. great color and clarity. gorgeous composition. plenty of lines for the eye to follow. excellent movement and texture. and the lighting is perfect... warm, but dim.

next, i think it looks painful, and i love that it portrays that much emotion.

finally, yes, i can see the five words within the photo. erratic is exactly the word i would have used to describe it if i needed to do so in one word. the controlled chaos of the SPIRALLING lines lends it the quality you needed to fill that description. clearly, the shreds of fruit are BRANCHing from the actual fruit itself. as for bestow... it's as if the tools are bestowing pain upon the apple... or the apple is being bestowed.... bestow: to present a gift. to me this picture speaks of a sacrifice... bestow. in that way, the apple fulfills its niche in life. twisted, perhaps, but def encompasses all the words.
