Description
These are the smart spiders. Instead of having all those holes in their web, they just make this mass sheet...nothing makes it though. If you invade their lair, you aren't getting out.French Park. Enjoy!
FULLVIEW PLEASE!
I rarely ask this, so when I do, I mean it!

My camera may be very affordable at this point...I got it a year and a half ago, so the price has probably gone down considerably. Nikon Coolpix 7900. See what you can find it for. And those spiders are really only on the bridges and docks and stuff, so as long as you don't stick any part of you were it doesn't belong, they won't bother you
thanks for the comment!

This is cool but not a shot I would expect someone scared of spiders to take! This is a tunnel-web spider, we have a lot of them where I live and they're poisonous! Great picture though

A truly amazing shot though. The detail is just great, lighting is perfect, the perspective is perfect. The concept is also perfect.

Holy crap! That's scary.
The angle you took the picture from - it draws you in. It leads you to the spider, which is what I want to see.
I love it! You're gooooood

That's an awesome web. Almost looks like a cloud of fluff. Which is ironic, because something that looks so soft and pleasant is deadly to another insect that finds its way in there. I like how the spider is sort of hiding behind the web. It's creepy. But an awesome shot at the same time.

amazing detail in both the spider and the web... sometimes i wonder how you even see these things.. and how you always seem to get perfect focus and angles

I think I can answer that..
How I see them? I've always noticed little details...almost more than the big blunt things sadly So I tend to naturally find odd little things
The focus? Well, I still have an automatic camera, so it's taken me a LONG time to figure out the best ways to get my camera to focus on an object. But because it's been so hard, I've gotten really good at it
Angles? Not sure...just kind of a natural thing that just evolves on its own
thank you, VERY much

Despite the massive creepiness of the spider, I like how you captured it not in the middle of the photo, but in a place where the eye is drawn after the lazy swirl of the web, so it's somewhat of a surprise. Makes you actually stop and contemplate the full picture, not just appraise it in a quick glance.

And that, my friend, is exactly what I liked about this picture too.
I like how you think. thanks!
