I don't know why but when I look at this, I think Peach is too busy thinking about how much she loves Mario that she's inadvertently blocking out everything he's saying... She obviously isn't doing that...But some reason that came to mind. (Like when you're so absorbed/distracted by something that you're totally oblivious to what is being said or going on around you!
