Description
I'll admit, I'd probably be too afraid to even fly this thing. It's a kit plane from Sonex Aircraft that comes with a jet engine. It puts out about 250lbs of thrust, meaning that if you wanted to fly a Boeing 737 using that little engine, you'd need 104 of them.Related content

Sonex Aircraft introduced this in 2013. Essentially it's a Waiex airframe that's reinforced to handle the stresses of that jet on it's back. They demonstrated one at Oshkosh last year.
Nice shot.

The BD-5J had a Sermel jet engine, there was a self-launching sailplane called a Prue(?) that had a small American made jet engine(I don't know the name of the engine). Thank you for the information!

I bet it would be fun to fly that little thing, like the BD5

I would be terrified. For one it's so... small! The guy flying it could barely fit in it, and I'm rather tall so... And look at the size of those wheels!
