Description
That's right, everybody's favourite incubus is baaaaack~For
_____
Name: Apollo de Sade
Age: Appears 21
Height: 5’11
Nationality: Hellish
Species/Race: Incubus
Powers/Abilities: Seduction, flight, soul draining, enhanced strength
Light or Dark side? Or neutral? : On a matter of principle, he should be in the Dark side, but he and his family have taken something of a neutral stance.
Residence: de Sade manor on the outer reaches of the town of Winchester
Employment: Teaching assistant at the high school
Personality: Apollo is a cocky, self confident hellbrat. But that isn’t to say he doesn’t have his good qualities, which he must. Despite his cockiness, Apollo has shown himself to be, on multiple occasions, a compassionate and passionate person. He is always, without fail, open to making friends, and is highly friendly with almost everyone he comes across. He is smart, less in the books, and more in the street, and he tends to have a serious side that comes out when he is concerned about the well being of those he sees as his younger siblings, or siblings in general, those who become his closest friends. Apollo does have a jealous and possessive streak, which, when prodded, can lead to exploding his temper, however, he has learned to control his, especially through his many years in a committed relationship with the sprite, River Ayers.
Background: Apollo was raised in Hell, and, as a point of conflicting pride and shame, is the grandson of the throne demon Asmodai. His noble blood did little for him but put more expectation on his shoulders for the work he would perform, and came with the expectation that he would take an active hand in the work and research of The Bar (an organization under Asmodai, members drawn from various sex and pleasure demon ranks, who hold some modiker of authority over the demons under Asmodai’s rule). Apollo did take part in some Bar meetings, only at his grandfather’s urging (which usually included a fair amount of physical urging), and, shortly after one of his policies, the Duel Gender argument, was put into effect, Ashanti, Apollo’s mother, and basically Asmodai’s little princess, despite her choice of life mate, made the case for Apollo to go ‘top side’ and receive education at one of the handful of prestigious supernatural schools. After some coaxing, Asmodai agreed, and Apollo was sent to Elysian Academy.
Though he made many friends at Elysian – including his current boyfriend, River Ayres – and Ashanti soon joined him on the staff as the sexual education professor, the decision was made, a slight year after he had arrived, that Apollo, along with a handful of other students, would be transferring to another school in Greece. It was at this school that Apollo and River finished their education, along with their classmates and current Winchester townmates, Marissa Pratchett, Aidou Shuichi, Thorn Windemere, Ramses Valette and Ashley Dahlin.
After graduation, River opted to stay on working as a teaching assistant at their alma mater, and Apollo was powerless to argue, nor did he want to. He flip-flopped between working a teaching assistant job of his own at the school, and reporting home to his grandfather and The Bar, finally becoming the team player his grandfather had hoped he would. Unlike his parents, Apollo adopted a monogamous policy with River, but that didn’t stop him from keeping a foot firmly in the family business, finding ways for incubi and succubi to go about their work, without having to get his own hands dirty. It was a happy existence, as far as he was concerned.
That was until the orders came up that Apollo and his parents, Ashanti and Ashcroft, were needed immediately back home. Ashanti stressed that there was no reason for her father to call them back if it wasn’t direly important, and, leaving their topside home to River for a few days at best, the family headed back downstairs, to hold council with Asmodai.
What they learnt was blunt. The apocalypse was on the playing field. And Asmodai was of the opinion that, really, they should be where it was going to happen. No, he didn’t have a definite date, but he did have a location as to where it would begin. And no, he would not tolerate argument on it. Apollo, Ashanti and Ashcroft returned to their home in Greece, where Apollo promptly destroyed the contents of one of the sitting rooms in a blind rage. When he’d gotten control of himself, his mother was standing in the centre of the room, amid shards of broken vases, and stuffing from cushions, arms crossed, one eyebrow raised. She reminded him, quietly, that he was a demon, no matter that he wasn’t the biblical picture of one, and, if he hadn’t noticed, she had, and nothing had been said in their family meeting that forbade Apollo from seeing River. Or even bringing River along. Then she’d pointed to a pile of cleaning implements, and left the room, smiling, and calling River down to have tea with her.
It took a lot of talking, a lot of decision making, and endless promises that moving did not mean that River was expressly forbidden from leaving Winchester, but eventually the de Sades and River moved to Winchester.
And took up residence in the totally inconspicuous manor outside of town. The de Sades have kept up careful observation of the inhabitants of the town, and gone about their business as ‘normal’ demon neighbours, despite the fact that they are very clearly not.
Relationships:
Ashanti de Sade: Ashanti is Apollo’s mother and tends to treat him like her little baby, nevermind that he is basically a grown man by this point. Apollo doesn’t complain about it, however, and, admittedly, is something of a mama’s boy. He loves his mom, and has a very close and trusting relationship with her.
Ashcroft de Sade: Ashcroft, as far as Apollo is concerned, is, yes, his dad, but in that same vein he is like an older brother or a close cousin. Ashcroft doesn’t tend to act like Apollo’s father around him, let alone an adult. Because of this the two do have a close relation, however, Apollo can become easily exasperated with his father and his...antics.
River Ayers: When it comes to River there aren’t enough words, in Apollo’s mind. He would never share this outloud, at least not outside of their own privacy, but it stands. River has been one of the only constants in Apollo’s recent life. He was Apollo’s friend during their time at Elysian, and would eventually play a huge hand in saving him from a bad, bad relationship. Their own relationship came slowly after that, but after a few month cultivated in Apollo wearing a ring around his neck on a thin chain, given to him by River. Ashanti has commented that, by the time they had graduated, they had really become the school’s married couple, nevermind the ceremony that had not happened. And River has been brought into the de Sade family entirely, considered, outside of demon matters that he just cannot be a part of, as much a part of their happy little unit as Apollo himself. Needless to say, the relationship Apollo shares with River is a very strong, very passionate one.

Apollo! It's cool, he even resembles Hoggard a bit. Its like in movies when they try to give the character a resemblance to the voice. SUCCESS. Cool background, too!
