Description
I haven't submitted a sunset in a while, and this is the first one I've taken with my new cam, so I thought I would submit it. This what it looked like last night behind my property last night.I know it's nothing too original or extraordinary, so I'm discouraging critiques. I just hope you enjoy it.
Composite of 5 shots.

Thank you, Donna! Actually, most of our sunsets aren't all that spectacular, but every once in a while we luck out.

5 of them? Hard to believe as there is not a pixel out of place.
And without a tripod? Another
So you are close to the water and have such excellent view in the evenings.
So peacefull.
And the sky has that beautiful shade of orange mixed with pink.
Lucky you.
Looks like I have to cut down the dA time if I want to stay afloat with everyday demands.
Last few weeks were hectic in trying to balance out everything but it's not going to work if I'm up to my eyeballs in dA.
So I'll stay in touch and try to post few pieces here and there and I wiil check on all deviations. But commenting on all of them or answering all comments would be impossible. So I have another balancing act to perform.
Take care, Bruce.
I'll try to be in touch at least once a week.

Thanks, Irena! I've had a little pratice stitching, so my only problem putting this together were some of the tonal changes that happen from shot to shot.
And I understand about the time thing. Hopefully I'll be getting back to work here before too long, and my time here too will be limited then. I know I still have some shots of yours I haven't gotten around to yet. I'll try to get to them as soon as I can.

Good luck with that work thingy.
Can't live with it but can't live without it either.
We will somehow manage. I'm sure.

My problem is I've been without it for too long. Not looking forward to it, but I've got to do something.

I'm even worse with that problem - I was home from the time the kids were born and now I'll have to look for something because the college bills are pilling up.
And that's only the beginning of a problem as I have no idea where to look for that "something".
Comfortably lazy is another problem.

I know what you mean. Lazy's not my middle name, but somehow I have a feeling that's what it translates to.

Ohhh thats really very lovely Bruce, I would love to see a sunset like that and just enjoy its beauty.
Its kind of hard to see that in the city to many things get in the way.

Thank you, Lainy! And you're right. Sunsets can be hard to enjoy in the city, unless you get some nice overlooking view, which aren't all that easy to come by. I guess that's one of the reasons I enjoy living in the country.

You didn't? Yeah, my hometown is small to begin with, and I live probably 6 miles out of town. And it is quite lovely. I've lived in the city before, but I'll always be a country boy.

I'm a bit of a country girl at heart too. My family are all farmers so I've always had a strong connection to the country.

My family was all farmers too. Too bad some traditions must pass, but family farming in America is quickly becoming a thing of the past.

That's an awesome shot! I love sunsets and the wide angle views of them. How do you like the 20D? I want a new camera, and a good one, would you recommend? or do you wish you would've made a different choice or anything? I mean, I know there are like probably hundreds of reviews, and I've read a lot, I was simply wondering what you think of it. It seems to do sunsets way better than what I use. Also, one last question. Did you use any kind of neutral density filters or anything like that?
anyways, very pretty shot!

Thanks! And I love my 20D!! Actually, it exceeded my expectations, once I got used to it. I have absolutely no complaints and many wonderful things to say about it. The resolution, color and ease of use (once I figured it out) are all outstanding. My only complaint right now is I need a new lens for it. Hopefully that will change soon. And the only filter I have on it now is a standard UV filter.
