Description
Hi allThis time it's a fanart for the Tron Legacy movie.
It's one of the movie that i enjoyed watching in 2011.
It entertained me as much as the first movie.
It would have been more entertaining if Quorra was shown speeding on one of the light bike.
It would have been one of the coolest scene indeed.
a little info about the workflow (if anyone ever read these anyway)
- Poser girl is V4.2
- First attemp to face morph in Quidam and base on the end result, i'm suck at it.
(guess i don't have the beginner's luck)
- re-export back the morph to Poser
- open the character in C4D
- made the outfits, hair, fence and bike in C4D
- modified an hdri image of a sky scene in PSP and create the city scene.
the tower in blue lights is an image i copy and paste from Tron Legacy promo image.
the rest, i made them up myself.
- rendered everything in Vray.
- 3 hours 58 minutes render time
- minor postwork in PSP
- initially i want to stay true to the movie in modelling the bike and outfit but
somewhere in the middle, i went ballistic (mental?) and ended up with slightly different design.
Hope you'll like it.
Many many thanks on the comments and favs for my previous works.

This is great work. I'm new at this game so your workflow is instructive

Even though this is a rather old work of your's I appreciate it very much. Love the dull specular highlights on her dress and the machine. Believe me: i know how hard it is to achieve contrast in a dark image. Great work!

Ah man this is fantastic! Looks just like the movie! this is great work! And again I am glad to see you know how to use the reflections. LOL hate it when I see something metal without reflections. most video games are like that. You'd think with all the te[link] of today they would put reflections on mirrorable surfaces. Oh well! just glad to see it in your work!
keep it up!

Hi LJL.
Thanks you for your kind words.
you're right about the reflections.
here i can afford to use a nice and subtle reflection cause i'm rendering just a single image.
it does double the rendering time however.
but for games, i think you really need a monster graphic card to do that lol

Yea you're telling me... I sometimes wait 2 to 4 hours on render time cause I am pulling some series graphics on my characters. Like this one [link]
took 4 1/2 hours cause when I made her I actually applied the texture detail to the model and than put another texture layer over the original one to make her skin look as real as possible! and don't get me started on how long it took for my software to go through her eyes O_o
(Cause of the reflection on the bottom of her eyeballs)
Lol yea it would take a monsters graphic card! look at crysis!
Put it in PS3; message props up. P3!?!? NOPE!!! GO GET A NEW ONE!!!
Put it in Xbox360; Ha ha! silly gamer.... take that thing outta here!!!
Put it in PC: your computer will blow up in 13 seconds... and you already wasted 10 reading this message!
LOl yea Crysis is the only game that went that far and it has been known for doing things to your system.... so yea...
you are absolutely right

This is a gorgeous piece. It looks like it could have been taken straight out of the movie with its realism.

Love it! TL is one my favorite movies as well, and I love everything about it - the action, the actors, the special effects, and the music. You've done real justice to TL with your work, thank you!

hi Sara
many thanks for your comments. glad to know that you're a C4D user too.
C4D is not really hard to learn. i've been using it for roughly 1.5 year now and happy with it.
wish you good luck with your venture with C4D too

1.5 year!I only have 2 months using it, if I have to wait so long to become someone like you I will ^^

your 2 months skill is much better than mine when i was using c4d after 2 months.
so, i think you won't have to wait 1.5 year to make something like mine or maybe even better.
happy modelling!!
