“СКИФСКАЯ БОГИНЯ АРТИМПАСА”

В ноябре 2023 года я передал эту картину в дар симферопольскому археологическому музею-заповеднику «Неаполь Скифский» в память о моей персональной выставке, проходившей в древних стенах царского мавзолея Неаполя Скифского с 10.10.2023 по 11.11.2023.

In November of 2023, I donated this artwork to the archeological museum “Scythian Neapolis” in Simferopol (Republic of Crimea, Russia) in memory of my personal art show that spent a month on the ancient walls of the King’s Mausoleum of the Scythian Neapolis 10.10.2023 to 11.11.2023.

Artimpasa (Argimpasa) is the Scythian goddess of love and fertility corresponding to the Greek Aphrodite. She lived in a cave in Crimea. In ancient art, she was depicted as a beautiful long-haired woman with snakes instead of legs. Argimpasa became Hercules’ wife, and the couple had three sons. The youngest of the three—strong enough to draw back the string of his father’s bow—was named Scyth. He sired a great people, the Scythians.

Артимпаса (Аргимпаса) — скифская богиня любви и плодородия, соответствовавшая греческой Афродите. Жила в пещере в Крыму. Изображалась красивой женщиной с длинными волосами со змеями вместо ног. Аргимпаса стала женой Геракла и родила ему трёх сыновей. Младшего — достаточно сильного, чтобы натянуть тетиву отцовского лука — звали Скиф. От него и пошёл великий народ.

Materials: colored inks, gouache, ormolu, Russian sauce crayons, pastels, charcoal, sanguine, colored pencils, white correction fluid on Kraft paper, 35x47 cm.
