You just gave off a "hateful critic who sees movies as something to grade instead of enjoy" kind of vibe with the whole "Freddy and Mary have no right to kill" thing. So please forgive me if I came off as defensive. I just REALLY don't like those people.

Okay, that's fine.
I just have this thing with world building and mythos, and its not just movies that do the weird murder ghost.
I just find the concept odd, where without explanation a ghost can go around killing people. If regardless if they were good or bad all it took was the person dying traumatically; then shouldn't their victims also be becoming ghosts just like them, and thus able to if not directly harm each other, interfere at least. Freddy at least had a few moments where the "souls" turned on him as he tried to gather more than he could handle, and 13 Ghosts had the mother trying to warn her son to stay away.

Dying with anger and grudge makes them rage blinded ghosts for what I know. some of their victims didn't die angered, some did if you saw the Ju-on movie Rika Nishina becomes Kayako in order to feel and understand her pain.

the Ringu and Ju-on examples were meant to be times where it made sense.
the Mary Shaw and Freddy Kruegar *pre dream demons and comic book necronomicon stuff* didn't was what I meant to convey in my opinion.

Freddy seems more like a demonic entity, Mary, if I remember they tortured her and made her scream and the boy from Jaime's family who angered her because Billy was not real. enough anger to make a ghost right?

in Freddy's Dead they made him created by demons, but it has no real continuity with the movies before, he seemed to be a weird ghost that somehow figured out how to feed on other people's souls to get stronger and somehow "the bastard son of a hundred maniacs" was a thing. But Freddy is entertaining enough as a character to eyeroll away the constant inconsistencies in his weaknesses, strengths, and powers.
okay, yes, good or bad, anger. But the movie bugged me more because of the TWIST ending. Where she went from *tortured soul wrongfully killed lashing out at the world that wronged her*...to...oh she actually did it, vengeance be damned she was a murderer. It kind of, took away for me from her character.

Yeah, It was kind weird She killed, they revenge on her, and she once again kills them, I honestly remained neutral about her.
