. . .

When the first soda dinky was created, it was actually a member of the sparking breed. However, breeders were surprised to find out that the soda dinky acts much differently than their sparkling cousins. There’s a certain mischievousness to the soda dinky that is not present in the sparkling or coffee dinkies. Some believe that it is the combination of carbonation and caffeine that creates the unique personality.

The soda breed is a little bit shorter than the coffee breed but shares their smooth figure. They are not as strong as the coffee breed but they tend to be faster and more agile. Soda breeds, as a result of their quickness, are a popular breed to compete with. Indeed, there are dinky races that mostly feature the soda breed (sometimes a coffee breed or a water breed may make an appearance). Soda dinkies have up ears, nub tails, and head open areas. Their ears on top of their head rather than the side like the sparkling breed allow them to hear better, however their ears are shorter than the coffee breed’s so that they may not be as heavy.

Soda dinkies are very rambunctious and they enjoy competing with other dinkies and humans. But they can often get themselves into trouble because of their risk taking tendencies. On the nicer side, soda dinkies are very compassionate and more emotional than other breeds. If you want a more emotionally driven experience with your dinky, or you’d like your dinky to compete in dinky races or other competitions, a soda breed is a good choice. However, be warned that they can be difficult to handle at times. It is advised that owners have some experience with dinkies before pursuing the soda breed.

Sometimes excreted from the soda dinky’s head is a foam, like how real soda often produces foam when it is first opened. This foam does flatten over time if the dinky is inactive for too long. However, especially active soda dinkies will have an especially pronounced foam layer on their heads. This foam is often stylized by owners so that it may be shaped like hair. The foam can also be dyed different colors using special food coloring. Owners like to flaunt their “hairstyles” out in the open, or they may compete with others to see who has the best hairstyle.
