She is known since "Twilight Time", where she had her first appearance.
I didn't know that either, until a short time ago, the first time I recognized her was in "Crusaders of the Lost Mark", but I only know her name since "On Your Marks".
Good that I could educate about a background pony, the new ones need more attention!

Cheerilee was the cutest pony in a episode about fillies and foals riding soap box cars. It's quite the achievement if you think about it.

I know what you mean about the dresses. I have drawn dozens of naked ponies, yet a rump showing pony dress makes me feel like I need to slap on the adult content tag. Simply scandalous!

I almost did crying filly Rarity. But then decided to do happy Cheerleader ponies instead. The heart-breaking tragedy of second place Rarity was too much. I'll probably paint that when my heart feels up to it.
