Description
Lady of Light(Thought I haaad uploaded this but apparantly I have not
10 points if you recognize who I modelled her after. That's right Galadriel from LOTR. There was one photo in particular of Galadriel that always stuck in my mind, and so I wanted to pay Galadriel Homage in animal form. I am rather proud of the piece, shortcomings and all. It is one I got rather attached to.
Celtic knotwork..eh could use a lot of work...I was actually quite lazy with it and just freehanded it instead of lanning ahead.

ooh I dont consider anything I post scraps..really I don't like the term scraps..somestuff I put here because its more personal to me and so I don't want it to get snarky comments as the work in my main gallery sometimes receives.

The things you do with a mechanical pencil are astounding. And a Q-tip...to smudge for shading I assume? That is completely gorgeous. The lunar details inside the circle on the left bring a whole feeling to the circle... that was a very nice touch. And now that you point out the movie and Galadriel, the hair is perfect. In fact, your freehand knotwork looks superb to me, and the level of skill you have to do that... well, perfection knows no bounds or something.

Considerin' I be quite the rookie artist I don' feel it justified to say anythin' in way o' critique. Excellant take though mate. Woulda never thought o' seein' a tiger version o' Galadriel. I especially 'njoy the braids and the various talismans and beads that are woven into them.

Oooo <33 I'm a VERY BIG fan of LOTR. When I saw the title..I knew it was familiar. It looks so much and reminds me of her. I absolutely ADORE! how you amde that cape/hood. That was always my favorite part about elves...<333 Their cloaks and their pointy ears. Very well done, just lovely.
(I also like how you did the detail on her circulet, very nice.)

Fantabulous miss ma'am! I actually love the knotwork; it's quite symmetrical and suitably elvish..ish! ^^ Perhaps her left eye could be closer to the center to balance with the perspective of the muzzle, I LOVE the fact that the ears are pointed, it's a characteristic that I feel most people might not consider to add when doing an elven-inspired pic of an anthro feline lady ^.^

Thank ya kindly! Yes..I know I tweaked for days about the ears, because I thought it was so clever..even though really twasn't..but mostly because I am the biggest geek in existance : D.
On a sidenote..I BETTER be watching you here, I know I am on FA but I don't recall if I bopped you here.

Lovely lovely detail. I love how you structure the fur, so thoughtful. The face is old, distinctive, and full of expression and the way the hair flows down is beautiful. Forms nicely from the hood. Does take your eye off the picture slightly but that's only a minor thing. Good choice to make the clothing simple because the detail in the face and hair is what makes those the center of attention. Great composition. Design around her looks a tad rushed. (darker on the upper left and lighter to the right) D: But that's probably just me.
lol I'm curious as to who got the original.

(it was a bit rushed, the celtic knotwork mostly..because I got lazy and had a stack of other pieces yelling at me for attention.)
Thank you for the comment!

She looks just like Galadriel... Except her face is a little harder-looking than Galadriel's, I think. Then again, I might be wrong, cos I just woke up
But, anyways, I love this picture, like all your artwork ^_^ I agree with other people: why is this wonderful image in Scraps? O_o

I sometimes put the pieces I am closer to..spiritually, in scraps because that way most of the rude comments pass it by and leave it and me unscathed.

I took one glance at this and went "Galadriel!" It looks very colse to her, but I supose the face could be a bit softer if you really wanted it to look like her.
Regardless, your work is beautiful as ever, and the celtic embelishments are a nice touch.

Only errors I see are in the knotwork, though even that looks good, especially for just being randomness. Just above the mini-moon there's a vertical line that wasn't erased (to have the horizontal pass over it) and just to the left of that the borderline of the big moon is missing, just under her hood. Otherwise, it's an excellent piece with more detail than I'd likely have the patience for. Really shouldn't be tucked away into your scraps.
And that was my so-called "advanced critique". Maybe they should just call it "nit-picky critique" instead.

I looove the hair. I think it's beautiful. You'd really have to look hard to find something wrong with it. I can't find anything that needs crits.

You didnt even have to say it was modeled after Galadriel. The second thing I saw after looking at this was.. "Ooh, she looks alot like a Lady Galadriel!"
Okay.
Advanced Critique, huh? Well. The only thing I noticed is that the celtic knot sort of blends if with itself, maybe if that was highlighted or shaded a bit more? Other than that, it's perfect!
