Description
This is a picture a good friend of mine and I did back around this date in 1996. His style was so much different from mine that we wanted to try a picture together where we would draw our favorite original characters. Worldwalker, the girl on the left, was a college studen who wasn't sure of her own potential and then thrown into her destiny kicking and screaming if I remember right. T'Kay, mine on the right, was a girl who shaped the people around her and thrust them into an adventure of epic proportions.I've been reluctant to post this here because it's not part of the new work and my style has changed so much in the past ten years. However, I thought it might be fun to post it here as well as with the MsExpandable area since that fits the older site's work. It shows the slow progression I've made over the past decade.

your old style seems much better than the one you use now.

An honest statement ... I think the reason people might like the older style is the looseness of the designs and work. Right now, I'm focused on proportions and accuracy than anything else. I hope to get down and mix the best of booth.

That's T'Kay, the one who's in the log, though that's a new one, obviously. She's very powerful and actually took on Godzilla.

I really enjoyed drawing T'Kay for years. I believe I have one of her model sheets around here someplace that I might pick up and redo some time.

Thanks. One my favorite artists is Kenichi Sonoda. Love to be able to draw as well or better than him. He was and I guess still is a major influence, especially back when that picture was done. But I can only take half of the credit. My friend deserves the other half.

I really like this idea, putting the figures like this side by side, and see such a dramatic difference between styles.
Worldwalker has a fantastic ass by the way...lol!
T'Kay is really cute! heh! Reminds me a bit of old school type anime, interesting poses...
like both characters are doing the peace sign with their legs kicking and such....although T'Kay is like keeeyaaah!! with that leg of hers!

Thanks ... it's interesting to see T'Kay like that, being cute and innocent! She's usually not that flat, according to my friends. 
I was very fortunate to get my friend to do Worldwalker with T'Kay. It was a great picture, one that I have framed in my cubical back at the firm.
