Description **Giggles!**

While I'm still not entirely with it this morning, I wanted to post one of my favorite pencils and inks that I got to do with a gentleman who I went to school with at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) and was in my prime with my artwork.  I have always loved doing inking!  I discovered that in the inking class for sequential art back in 1996.  The gal to the right was my mischievous android girl named T'Kay who was found in a magician's stage prop box.  Being released into Savannah (this was back before I decided to call the place Crossroads in my little world), T'Kay becomes a super heroine through influences by the people around her, mainly because no one else could do what she could do.  Supernatural strength, intense force beams from her eyes, and the ability to fly, T'Kay was my Super-Gal.  There's even a fun comic pages I did where she takes on Godzilla himself and gets schooled.  While I would love for my gal-pal to win, it's GODZILLA!

The girl one the left is Worldwalker, one of my favorite original characters by my friend.  I wish I could remember more about her and I'm trying to test my memory from the original posting in one of the deep cuts of the collection of galleries I have here on Deviant Art.  But, I remember he and his wife would often invite me to go out for dinner and I could sit with them and listen to the stories that he was working on.  I won't lie ... I was jealous!  He was a master of serenity in my opinion.  Problems just rolled off of his back and he was always there to catch you when you fell.  Back then, I often took a lot of beatings, either from fellow students ... creative people are often the harshest commenters of life ... and I often went away from classes with a broken heart.  I had forgotten that getting up on stage and being who you are means opening yourself up to criticism, both good and bad.  It is how you handle it that shows people your true character.  Good, bad, and everything in between.  It's taken me almost thirty years to understand that!

Another reason to post this again is I keep on hearing the debate about AI.  While I understand the conversations for and again, for me, it's made me appreciate the classic and traditional pencils and inks.  By the way, the gal on the left was done with ink and brush while my work was done with micron ink pens.
