I know I should be finishing up the coloring to "Into the Pit" which I started last week, but this idea came to me yesterday and I was too tired to work on it.Pretty good for three hours worth of work, eh?

Thanks so much! It's been a while since I attempted a background. I'm not too happy with the "Into the Pit" one, but it work since people understand that they are dealing with a giant spider. But this one was a fun idea I had on Monday ... and considering how fast it came together, I'm really happy.

That's awesome. A great example of a single picture telling a story. I love the pose as well as the detail on the tree and its base.

it would be funny if one of your o.c's became a puddle due to the desert heat or took the shape of a camel to get the others across the desert to the oasis

Yes. The background took about an hour and a half and she took about two and a bit more. Now, if you go and check out the recent posting, I added another hour doing some touch up work. Making the face a bit clearer and the lips better. Also her hair is a good bit thinker too.

Indeed. I used to do it a lot, though it was in a tree that sat off of the causeway that took one towards East Beach and the Coast Guard Station. I cannot tell you how many hours I wasted after riding my bike to the convenience store near the Crab Trap, an old restaurant which has been there for as long as I can remember. Eating sweats and sitting in that tree, daydreaming of what the future might hold ... it makes me wonder or try to remember if I had any thoughts of this life now.

Oh, the mat ... no, that's just a bedroll. Something you can sleep on outdoors. The backpack is what she is using for a pillow.
