"NO!" Taka screamed, running out of the cave and making a beeline for the waterhole, where he found four rogues beating the daylights out of his beautiful wife. "GET AWAY FROM MY WIFE!" He screamed, slamming one into the ground and ripping off its ear. His back claws found their mark, cutting deep into the males' lower stomach and tearing out the genitals. As it squealed in pain, Taka moved on to the next one, tearing it away from his wife's chest and twisting it's next between his front paws. The third moved away from his wife quickly, in horror staring at his companion writhing, the other dead, and one more not so sure what to do. The thrid glanced at Zyra one more time, then turned tail. "OH, NO! If you are brave enough to attack a pregnant woman, you're brave enough to face the consequence!" Taka snarled, lurching forward and using teeth and claws to tear it's right side to shreds. It collapsed in the water after a few moments. Taka left it there to bleed and die as he turned to the last. It had taken advantage of the third one dying and had Zyra's neck in his mouth. "Let her go, you bloody bastard." Taka screeched, skidding to a stop behind the big lion and clamping his teeth on its' tail base. A powerful chomp was all it took to remove the tail. The rogue screamed bloody murder and whipped around to where Taka stood on his hind legs waiting. His long, black claws found the victim again and again, until there was only blood and muscle left. The body slumped to the ground, and Taka kicked it with his back feet as if he was burying dirt.
"Zyra! Zyra, you can get up now. They're dead. Zyra? H...Honey?" He sniffed her,then turned away as Sarabi and Mufasa came running. "Taka! Is she..." "SHE'S DEAD! BECAUSE OF YOOUU!" The orange-brown prince screamed. He lunged at the King, grabbing red mane and bright orange-yellow ears. "All our dreams! All our happiness! Gone! Because YOU let her die. You let her die. I just took on four rogues, Your Crapness. That were over twice my size. What the heck is wrong with you? I would DIE for Sarabi. But you let my wife DIE. I..." He stopped, stared at his wife's stomach. "I... is it possible?" he breathed, placing his paw to her belly. Inside, something moved. He jerked his paw back. "Zyra... if she's dead nothing can hurt her, right?" He whispered, looking into her closed eyes. Pressing his lips together, he took one claw and carefully cut her abdomen open, and when he did he began to sob- a sort of happy-but-my-heart-is-still-broken - sob, as he lifted a very,very tiny wet bundle onto the grass. He gave it a lick, then nudged it hard. "Mew." Apparently, Taka didn't know what to expect, for he leapt back as if his child was an adder. "Mew! She...He... It... said MEW!!!" He screamed. Swiftly he licked the child clean, nuzzling it then looking up. His eyes found Sarabi and he spoke with such pride as though the 'newborn' had just recited the prides and rivers of Africa. "You have a niece. My daughter!!!" His eyes hardened when Mufasa stepped forward to get a better look. "If you touch her, I will kill you. If you even THINK about looking at her, your pelt will be my throw rug." He gently took his daugher all the way into his mouth and headed for his den.

Well, I'm sure I know at least ONE watcher is crying from this. Guys, this has been planned since I put Ziralise in the first comic panel. And, in the last sentence: ""He gently took his daugher all the way into his mouth..."" Yes, she is that tiny. Yes, it IS possible for someone to survive halfway through gestation(I did). Yes, Is is possible for a child to live inside the mother after mom is dead. It doesn't last for very long, but long enough. The blue at Taka's back paw is water.

NOW, how many of you say that Zyra's death is indeed Mufasa's fault?
