Description
New series I'm starting! Yes, I know Nala looks demented. But I only referenced, and I tried to make her seem skinny.Nala coughed, shaking with effort as she brought her minute old cub into her paws. "Nala, he's beautiful! What is his name?" Sarafina looked on proudly. "Tanabi. In honor of Daddy and you, Sarabi." Sarafina's face softened. "Taana would be so proud of you. When he comes next time, he will probably not know what to do with his grandson." Nala chuckled. Her father was a rogue, and would always be. But now that her mate was king, he was free to come and go as he pleased. Already, in the five months since Scar's death, he had visited ten times.
"Send Simba in. He needs to approve of the name and should see his little son." Nala sighed and licked the bundle. Simba nearly swooned from delight as the cub caught his eye.
"He's beautiful, Nala. Worthy of his honorable name and coat. He will grow happy and healthy. And far away from Zira."
Nala looked away. "Forget them, Simba. For now, let this day be about your son and your queen."
And for a time, that's exactly how it was. Tanabi grew healthy, though the Pridelands continued to be in a semi-drought. The child might have stayed happy, loving... had another son not been born to the royal family. And the name of the new baby... was Chaka.
Oh, 'Taana' is an alternate version of 'Tanaam'. Both names mean joyous occasion.
