Description
Another personal project that I'v been working on over the last week. Must have a bit of a jones for comic book heroines at the moment. I'm a big fan of Invincible and figured that Atom Eve could do with a Bambs makeover. Found a good reference pic to start from with my lovely girlfriend providing modelling support for some of the trickier parts like hands and hair.Picture is done using greyscale marker onto A4 Bristol board, fineliner pen, white ink pen and watercolour pencil for extra shading.
By the way - If you're gonna work on Bristol board, make sure you don't smudge your fineliner work! I learnt the hard way by ruining one picture and starting over again!

Thanks again man, much appreciated. The pose is a mixture of 2 photos, one from the net, the other my better half kindly posed for. I thought I'd draw Atom Eve as she doesn't get drawn enough in my opinion!
Thanks for both the faves too, cheers!

Hey, no problem. Yeah, can't wait until you do more pics of her! And also, no problem for the two faves.

Thanks HD, you're too kind. I had reference pics for the foreshortening, otherwise I think I would've struggled more, I couldn't have done that off the top of my head. It's also a good job that her legs ran off the page 'cos I really suck at drawing foreshortened legs!
Thanks for the fave too dude, much appreciated!

Absolutely beautiful! I love the use of greyscale here, how much do you charge for one like this my friend?

Cheers dude, thanks for the kind words. Greyscale onto A4 Bristol Board would be $50 plus maybe $10 for postage and packaging if you wanted me to ship it out to you in the States. I send most of my overseas stuff as 'international signed for' post, that way it's insured and more likely guaranteed to get to you in good condition.
Thanks for the fave too Chris, cheers!

Just had to comment again. I REALLY like the face in this piece. The lips with that happy smile and the bright eyes. Again really good job on this

Cheers Garan, much appreciated and glad you like the pic. Glad you like the face too, the face in the original sketch I did looked a lot older and I erased it in order to get the teen look, which seems to have paid off. I'll see if I can get the face on Jessie on par with this one!

Cheers Dwight, definitely check out Invincible, if only for Ryan Ottley's style of artwork. He's got anatomy, perspective and foreshortening nailed and keeps it fairly clear and clean at the same time.

Nice job Rob, as always. A sexy and cute pose for a superheroine I know very little about.

Thanks again mate, you're too kind. Definitely recommend checking out Invincible. I only collect the Trade Paperbacks so I'm always behind on what's happening until the next one but the art and the story are always cool.
Thanks for the faves too dude, cheers!

You should send this to the guys at Invincible. They would love it (and would probably publish it). It would be a good way to expose yourself ...as opposed to the bad way to expose yourself (which got me arrested. Alcohol may have been involved)

Do you reckon they'd publish fan art? I've never really had the confidence to send anything off for some reason. I'm stoked that you think it's good enough to send off, that's quite a compliment. Maybe I should message Ryan Ottley (penciller for Invincible) and see what he reckons?
As for exposure, yeah, alcohol is great for bringing out (excuse the pun) the wild side!

I would bet money that they would publish it. I sent Jimmie Robinson a Bomb Queen pin up and he's going to put it in the next anthology AND send me some comp copies of the book for free. Your caliber of work is definitely good enough to be published.
