Description
Okay, after my Phoenix pic didn't quite work out how I had planned I thought I'd try again with my attempt at soft pastel type shading with the markers. Again, it didn't quite pan out as I wished but still pleased with the outcome. The markers are so strong that I'm gonna have to use some really light colours to get the effects that I want but hey, gives me an excuse to draw more!I'm a big fan of Invincible and thought I'd have another shot at Atom Eve, plus the colour palette was quite along the lines of what I was originally thinking. Browns are way too dark though!
This pic was done using Copic and Magic Markers, colouring pencils and White gel pen onto 350 gsm card.

Beautiful! Those are some perfect female proportions right there. Browns don't leap to my mind as a background color but you prove me wrong as they look amazing here. Love the nameplate as well. If I left out commenting on any part of this illustration, rest assured, I loved that part too, lol.

Thanks man. Yeah, I drew the figure sketch a long time ago and I think I offered it to a couple of people as a possible idea for a commission but it lacked a little dynamism for the characters in question. As it was quite a demure pose I thought it was too good to not use, even if it was just for practice and so it became Atom Eve. Again, not totally happy with the browns (think the darker brown could be even darker) but didn't wanna mess with it once it was done.

When you say 'thick' version of Atom Eve, do you mean her current state in the comic (ie. post-pregnancy) or a muscled up version?
