I’ve been a bit remiss with my new subscription art, as I started it without giving anyone any idea of what it was all about. So hopefully this deviation will remedy that.

I was originally intending to do this entirely on Patreon and was getting all geared up to do it, but then I saw that deviantart was trialling this similar idea on their website. I thought that it seemed silly to ask those who might be interested to sign up to an entirely different website when they were already invested in deviantArt. I already have a steady following here and felt like it would be starting again if I went through Patreon.

I’ve been planning to do something like this for an awful long time but never got round to it. But now seems like the right time and I’m really enjoying putting together a resource of this kind. Whether through subscriptions or eventually a book, I’ve got the ball rolling and what I’ve been intending for so long is finally coming to fruition.

It is early days yet. I’m still finding my feet and working out the best ways to communicate how I do things in a way that’s easily understood, intuitive and ‘pretty’. 😂

A massive heartfelt THANK YOU to those who’ve subscribed already. My gratitude is profound, I really appreciate your support and the chance you’ve given me to produce this art.

In the meantime, to those of you who are curious, I hope this deviation gives you an idea of what to expect from the tutorials. I also post ‘raw’ (unedited) sketchbook pages, private art and early access to some of the comics that I work on. Any questions, please ask, I’ll do my best to help.
